Stand Still, or Move On?

In a flick, half year had past. Just imagine, spending my life all alone without the other half, isn't easy at all, especially when I used to spend most of the special occasions with someone special.

Flipping back the pages, there were moments where i couldn't really let go, and also memories where i find in need for improvements.

Time flies. Time flies. Time flies. And it waits for no men.

Half year had past, and i spent most of it working, working and working. At the same time, wishing, wishing and wishing for what's impossible.

It seems like it's time to fill in the vacant position with someone who qualifies, who suits the position much better than the predecessor!!

Will i manage to do so? or will i just stood still and waits for nothing? You'll be my judge.

A Brief Update on my Life

Time flies. That's the only thing in my mind right now. Unconsciously, it's already April 2011. Pheww!! What have i done for the past 1 year? I do not have any answer to it right now as i was too busy to reflect back on the things i have accomplished, and things i have sacrificed along the way.

Just some vast difference in me lately : drinking and partying.

I used to be a person without the urge to drop by places like Zouk, Thai Club, Beach Club, Ding Dang, Discovery, Wave etc... Definitely, drinking alcoholic drinks have never been into my interest for the past 25 years.

However, i have took up this habit recently, which have led me to frequent happening places in Bintulu, just to have a chillax time with colleagues and friends. Perhaps it's the peer-influence factor, which managed to drag me into this kind of lifestyle. But i have to clarify here, nothing that i did there other than sitting around with a few sips of carlsberg or heineken. That's all i did.

It sounds funny or crazy though, for me to drop by such a place just to have expensive drink and killing-effect towards my poor-functioning liver.

Nevertheless, this kinda life has been misunderstood by some of the people i care in my life, and it cost me a huge lesson to be learnt.

Now, i am a person of my own thoughts.

Guide to JPA Scholarship Interview

I bet all of us have gone through post-SPM life, and application for scholarship is among one of the checklist in your education planning.

Well, now it's the season for those post-SPM students to hunt for financial aids. I believe the only reason why a student strive so hard to excellence is because of the scholarship. I was shortlisted for 3 interviews, and i got 2 of them. The other one that i was not selected? JPA. Why? I guess i did not perform well during the interview. So, here's something for you to ponder onto if you are attending a JPA Scholarship Interview.

I sort of copied and paste from other people's blog, but it's really informative and useful. Do grab some useful notes from this.

How will you be assessed?

For the Foreign Degree Programme (PILN), the criteria for selection are:

1. Academic excellence (70%)
2. Interview (10%) - Its only 10%, so don't worry too much
3. Socio-economic background of parents (10%)
4. Co-curriculum (10%)

About the interview

- Who will be conducting the interview: Three government officers selected by JPA. They represent the three main races in Malaysia.
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Language: If you are asked in English, answer in English, and if you asked in Bahasa Malaysia, you MUST answer in Bahasa Malaysia. A previous interviewee told us that an interviewer got angry when a student answered in English when he was questioned in Bahasa Malaysia. He was told to answer in Bahasa Malaysia.

How is the interview done?

Three students are interviewed at one go. These students do not have to be from the same course. They can be students who have applied for medical, dentistry and pharmacy. The interview is done in two sessions; Round 1: General Information and Round 2: Group Discussion.

Round 1: General Information

1. Introduce yourself
2. Explain why you chose the program
3. Talk a little bit about your achievements in school

Round 2: Group Discussion

This is a group discussion and you will be asked to discuss with the same group from round one. You will be given a few questions to prepare and the interviewers will see how you work as a team. You will be asked for your opinion on the topics. Be constructive and don’t try to ‘goreng’ too much. A student once said government doctors earn a lot of money and the officers were shocked and argued with him and said he didn’t do his research well. Try not to say things that you are not sure of.

These were some of the questions posed to JPA scholars last year.

1. Please tell us a little bit about the smoking habit among Malaysians.
2. What can we do to reduce the number of smokers?
3. Should we allocate a huge budget for the public health system to give equal treatment to the smokers?
4. What is your personal view about smokers who are still smoking even though the government has done a lot of anti-smoking campaigns?

What topics can be expected this year? (my suggestions only)

1. National unity - 1Malaysia - How to improve unity?
2. Why scholars don't want to return to Malaysia and how to ensure they serve the nation after graduating
3. Environmental issues - in line with Malaysia's commitment to reduce carbon emission to 40% by 2020 as announced by PM in COP-15
4. H1N1
5. Anti drug campaign effectiveness
6. Privatisation of public healthcare in Malaysia
7. Increasing number of medical graduates. More information

It seems like i have abandoned this blog for quite sometime. Well, some updates about myself.

From Feb till March, i have travelled a lot between the same destinations : Bintulu, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kuala Terengganu.

So, here is goes.

1-6 February
I attended Skill Group Training in Kuala Terengganu. I was so excited when i imagined myself in Kuala Terengganu as it was my first time stepping my foot there. I went there with 2 other colleagues, namely Zakiah and Azizul. We stayed at Felda Residence Hotel.

FYI, that small town has nothing much to offer, except Mosques of different designs and architectures. The markets and shops close by 5pm. After 5, you have nothing much to see. OH ya, Taxi costs a bomb if you try to stop one.

Transition, went to KL and stayed at Royale Bintang Hotel at Bukit Bintang. Not much review on that hotel. Not as extravaganza as the one at The Curve. Anyway, manage to spend some hours at Lowyat Plaza looking for some netbook. :P

14-21 February
Went back to Kuching for Chinese New Year. Woohoo!! It's Tiger Woohoo!!! This is the first time in 6 years i have spent such a long time in Kuching during CNY. Before this, due to studies, the maximum i could spent in Kuching was like 4 - 5 days MAX. This year, i have basically spent nearly 12 days for CNY! That's great isn't it? Meeting with friends also very fun! The visitings and the yum-cha session @ The Tarrot Cafe, the Dota @ Jln Song.. One Word - SONG!!

22 - 25 February
Went to Port Dickson for DCS Upgrading Project's PRA (Project Risk Assessment). A big numbers of colleagues from MLNG was invited to attend. We stayed at Eagle Ranch Resort. Some story to tell about this resort. It's Different from other resorts that we usually visit. It's theme is "Cowboy Town". From that, we could sort of imagine how to place would be. Hehe..Very nice resort by the way.

- Waterfall-like shower in the Log Cabin (Room) with fake fireplace
- Red Indian Huts (Low cost room, with FAN)
- Horses
- Peacocks and Turkeys
- Nice beach
- Go-Kart Track
- Paint Ball Ground
- Flying Fox
- 20-30 obstacles field
and many more.

But, the main attraction is the teambuilding facilities. Hence, many companies hold their teambuilding session there. Maggi was one of them. Nestle also. :) After 2 days there, feel boring d.

Transition, went to KL and wanted to Stay at J.W.Marriot, but Full. Westin and Grand Millenium over budget, Park Royal Full House, ended up at The Coronade Hotel. Ha Ha Ha.

25-28 February
Went back to Kuching to celebrate Chap Goh Meh! Didn do much, went for some Karaoke session @ the Josey.

1-3 March
Attended Skill Group Training at Kuala Lumpur. Stayed at The Corus Hotel, opposite KLCC. Benefited a lot from this training cause the trainer was indeed Mantap! Explained every single thing in precise and clear manner. Thumb up to Mr. Rashdan.

Among the activities i had there.
1. Visited Quatro. Nice ambient.
2. Visited Zouk. Bo Lang wan..
3. Visited Beach Club. Cun!!
4. Met Danny @ KLCC.
5. Invited for Welcoming Dinner @ The Corus's Bar - free flow drink (win, beer, juices)

18-21 March
Went to Penang to visit Eileen and Baby Ball. Met up with Albin, Amira, Jessica and Pei Yue. My stomach got bigger after i left Penang. Food Heaven! YeAH!

21-27 March
Attended Transwater Training @ Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. Very very fun! The training was comprehensive as well! The breakfast was normal, every morning the same menu. Lunch was super rich. Patutla Fairus posted in his FB "Chong Zhia Howe eating, perut mcm lembu".
There, we went for Bowling for 3 consecutive days - skill masih lauya..total 7 games.
Euphoria - Ministry of Sound. Cool.
Ice Skating - Nice. Skated with Sean. Skated for 3 hours. After that, went to get my shoe after a suffering 3 hours. Poof. Shoe gone. Missing. StoLen by lowlife creature.

Next day, went to KLIA. Saw the skaters i met during ice skating. Looked down, my shoe was in his foot. Sigh. I can never imagine it was a chinese who stole my shoe. Oh well, a lesson learnt. Never buy a shoe that costs more than RM200. This is the 2nd time stolen. Tiu!

Anyway, i was awarded Best Student Award during the Training, and was given 500GB Transcend External Harddisk. On top of that, the souvenirs are Leather Luggage Tag, Wallet and Scheffer Pen. Thank you thank you.

Now, i am back in Bintulu. Going for badminton with Pin soon. Till then.

A round of battle, and i lost

Sigh,,I think this is the season easiest for people to fall sick. The weather keeps on changing rapidly, unpredictable. One moment it was sunny, the next second it was a rainfall. No one could ever expect that, what more to say in Bintulu with the acid-enriched rain.

Looking back at the time i went for PIPE, it has been roughly 9 months i have shifted myself to Bintulu. If i am not mistaken, this is the first time i caught a cold + fever + sore throat, and yes, it was suffering, sorry, IT IS Suffering.

It all started from Tuesday, whereby i went for a continuous 6 sets of Badminton matches non-stop, and after 2.30 hr, i stopped, and went home. I had a plan in mind. I wanted to cook dinner that night, but it was already 10pm when i reached home, still sweaty. Hence, for the sake of not wasting anymore time, i went to took a refreshing bath, then proceeded to the kitchen to cook. Everything went fine, until the next day.

I started to have slight running nose..and i start to feel a little bit floating..

Thursday came..and it got worse..i felt weak..i felt hot n cold, i felt bad..it was a lot of shit then..So, i went to look for clinics that actually accept ING card.

Let me list down a few.

LKB Clinic (Medan Jaya) - Pulled back, no more supported by ING
Bandar Jaya Clinic (Medan Jaya) - Don't have the swap machine

LKB Clinic (MLNG Housing) - ING Card accepted
Medan Jaya Clinic - ING Card accepted, but you need to queue for an hour or so..

So, those are the clinics i went, and another Industrial Clinic in MLNG.

Till now, it has been 4 days, and i have not gotten much better. I lost the battle to the bacterias in my body. I shall seek another savior today. Till then.

Ok, 10 honest things about me..some are good..some are nature..some are bad..

1. I am very talkative. I believe most of the people who know me..know that i speak a lot, and non stop.
2. I like to talk, but seldom walk the talk. Talk Cock la..
3. I am very punctual. I always arrive ON TIME. But, sometimes also got late a little, but very minimal.
4. I am very indecisive. I seldom give good answer whenever people ask for a decision.
5. I don't like people who smoke.
6. I am loyal, not only to people, but also foods and shops. I seldom try out new food, or shops that offer different style of cooking.
7. I am a carnivorous. I used to put vegetable aside, and cannot live without meat. But, now i am getting better now.
8. I like sports very much.
9. I like looking at pretty/ beautiful things/creatures.
10. I have a lot of sympathy to living things, especially when it comes to rare animal who are caught, and killed for publisity/ monetary purposes.

Let aside the Past, Welcome the Future

Another year is going to leave a tragic pen in the World's History Book. This year has indeed a challenging year, not only to myself, but also to the whole wide world. Reflecting on the Year 2009, so many incidents happened which will never ever been forgotten by all mankind, at least to those who concerns. To name a few, the Worst Economic Breakdown, Tiger Wood's Infamous Scandals, Highest Rate of Unemployment, The Appointment of Najib as Prime Minister of Malaysia, The World's Most Registered Couples on 09.09.09 and many more.

Indeed, it has been fascinating to see America to sail through the post-iraq war while suffering a high unemployment rate due to the economic downfall. I guess Obama does has the lead there. However, it is also sad to hear many death cases in the East Malaysia whereby several casualties caused by Hornet's attack.

Seems like the people on Earth are given challenges every year, for either 2 reasons i could think of.

1. God doesn't want us to live in comfort zone. World without barriers is simply boring and unrealistic.

2. God wants human to grow smarter and stronger. Each challenges posted to us are just a test to see whether we have actually learnt from the past mistakes.

I am not an exceptional too. This year has been so exciting and interesting to me. Certainly, by saying that doesn't mean that everything went well for me, but at least, i have reached another milestone in my life journey. I will just start to chart my journey from January.

The differences: Wants Vs Needs

Looking at our economic condition of late, it has been getting better and better by months. Fortunately, some speculations have said that the economy will recover in year 2010 and 2011. How true can those speculations go? How about the YEAR 2012? No one has the answer.

Let’s talk a while about a movie I had just watched recently. The movie entitled 2012. After watching the movie, I started to get worry about the current environmental issue as well as the climate change. Henceforth, what’s the point of having economic resurrection while we have other bigger problem to think of? However, it was just a movie, but it has sent a very important message to all mankind – “If we do not preserve the nature & environment, flora & fauna, and continue with massive development without any proper restoration plan, the earth will be left with its crust without any content within it”.

Therefore, I would like to urge the people in this world to start putting more care into our surrounding, do not be financially-minded or self-centered. We are living on the same sphere, and no matter what activities we do on the other side of the world, it is all connected back to the center of the earth, the root. If we do not start to be GREEN, sooner or later the whole world will be CODE RED, and that’s the time where all our generation will engulf in the effects and consequences created by the early generations.

Not only that, if it has reached to the level of world annihilation, like what the movie 2012 implies, no matter how hard you have fought all your life just to get the wealth what others have, it will be all gone in vain.

What I am trying to say is, no matter we are rich or poor, we can still contribute to the preservation of our mother nature. For the poor, we can stretch out our hand to give our some help and energy – less open burning, do not litter, planting trees etc. For the rich, you can extend some financial support to the “Save the World” campaign, use less air-conditioning, cut less trees, plant more trees around house compound etc.

There are so many things can be done to reduce the effect of human activity towards the devastation of the earth. Let’s start today by driving a clean-emission vehicle. Send your car to repair it is generates black smoke.

We have drifted quite far from the main path. Let’s head back to the highway and get back on the road.

Wants Versus Needs. This term is no more strangers to those who are trying so hard to survive in the current economic crisis. However, I would like to stress it once again here, because human tend to be so forgetful, and they have the tendency to forget what they have learnt whenever they are too obsessed with the things they have dreamt of for so long.

What if we didn’t want anything? Would our lives be dull? How can one find balance between wanting and having?

It’s a great question. What if we could break free from want? For myself, reducing wants has played a fundamental role in helping me improve my finances. When I stopped wanting so many things, I stopped spending. I stopped feeling bad that I didn’t have things. I became more satisfied with who I am and what I have.

We have been brought up by our beloved parents. How did they manage to bring us up strong and healthily? All of these credits have to go to their effort in leaving home early in the morning and coming home at late evening just to earn a living. They have been working hard for so many years, just to give a spoonful of meal to your mouth. They have been telling me, “Money is not easy to earn, so be thrifty”. I have never understood that until I finally step foot into the society, and starting to get my pay slip every month.

Ever since, I have controlled myself quite strictly. Every single penny you spent, you have to think, “It is necessary? Is there any cheaper way to do this?”. I have controlled myself quite well, frankly speaking. I like many things, I like many cars, I like many equipments. With the amount I earn each month, it can fulfill my basic needs, but not the luxurious ones. Hence, I have restricted myself from spending unnecessarily.

I have to put aside all the branded items, all the hundreds-of-dollars equipments and clothes. This is the point I realized that, “It was hard for my parents to spend on unnecessary things which I requested once upon a time. But, they did buy for me in the end”. How noble they are.

So, I believe that it is wise to just buy what are needed and not things that we want. The difference lies on the necessity of it. For example:

Needs – Shelter, Food, Clothes, Shoes, Haircut, Wallet

Wants – Honda City, Bungalow, Ralph Lauren Perfume & garments, 50” Plasma TV, Nike Pegasus …

You get the difference? Spending of your needs mean to satisfy your basic requirement in your daily lives. You need shelter to keep you dry, you need clothes to keep you warm and unexposed, you need haircut to keep you tidy, you need shoes to protect your foot from cuts and injuries, you need wallet to keep your bank card, money, IC..

But, wants are just an extra to your needs. With the NEEDS and without the WANTS, you can still survive well. BUT, if you have the WANTS, but you don’t even have the NEEDS, you can barely live well, I would say. I am not saying that you should not spend on the WANTS, but, spend wisely. You can do a long term planning for all the WANTS you want, provided that you have all the NEEDS in place.

By doing so, you can save quite a huge amount of cash for emergency, spoon feeding your lovely children, bringing your love ones on a romantic vacation. Just imagine, if you stop buying a perfume each month, in a year, you are going to save more than RM2k. Like what I mentioned, long term planning of 5 years. After 5 years, you can bring your love ones to Bangkok/ Bali/ Myanmar/ Cambodia for vacation with the RM10k you have saved over the years. It’s a FREE TRIP if you look at it this way, right?

Of course, sometimes you still need to reward yourself for all the hard work you have put in. Therefore, it is not wrong to reward yourself with some luxuries and branded item once in a while.

I do not know how to put these in words, but, just bear in mind. There is no better way to be financially free than having the discipline in you. Just make sure you get the right mindset, and strive towards it. Stick to it for at least 15 years. After that, you can slightly shift your mindset a little bit to the wants.

This is just my own personal opinion. Please give comments if you think otherwise. I would really like to know what are there in the opposite side of the world.

The relationship between needs and wants is an important lesson for your children to learn and understand. A need is something an organism must have in order to survive. For example, people need air, food, water, and shelter. A want is something someone would like to have. For example, bikes, video games, and televisions are all wants; people can survive without them. Encourage your children to think about their needs and wants.

Many people have jobs and work to earn money in order to meet their needs and wants. We recommend watching the Dollars and Cents movie together as a review. Explain to your children that people can use their money to buy goods and services. Goods are things that are made or grown and usually something you can see or touch. Have your children look around them and find examples of different goods.

Remind your children that crops are goods. A service is work that someone does for someone else. For example, an auto mechanic provides the service of repairing vehicles, a teacher provides the service of instructing students, and a doctor provides the service of monitoring patients health and treating illnesses.

Discuss different services that people need and offer. A producer is someone who makes or grows goods or offers services. Farmers, carpenters, librarians, and manufacturers are examples of producers. A consumer is someone who buys goods and services. Have your children identify different items they consume and think about who might have produced them.

Your children should understand that people often want much more than they need. As a result, people must make choices about what they truly need and what they can afford. Offer different scenarios to help your children learn how to make smart choices with money. Should someone buy pet food and groceries or buy a new video game?

Children should learn to buy what they need before what they want. Also help children become smart consumers by researching products and learning about where their money goes when they purchase a good or service. Why should you buy products made from recyclable materials? Why should you support local businesses in your community? By teaching the basic principles of economics and instilling responsible consumer skills now, your children will learn how to make smart and globally conscientious choices as adults.

Everyday life is filled with choices of needs and wants. Some are harder to determine than others. Some are relatively simple.

Let’s take a trip to (insert favorite grocery store here, Publix for me). Veggies, check. Juice and milk, check. Cheeses and lunch meats, check. Magazine aisle, hurry Greg run! That’s the easy ‘want’ to skip, well not that easy but one I know that should be an easy skip.

The hard want is on the snack isle. Even with the recent burst of “Natural” and “Organic” chips and snacks that are flooding our grocery stores, where does the need for a quick bite become a want for great taste, or to fill a quick craving? Unnecessary foods are a big cause of weight gain when associated with laziness. Chips while playing video games or downloading music, even if natural or organic, is just an extra intake of calories without the burning.

Ok. Next scenario, which Chris gets me all the time for. Gadgets or big purchases. Just got my iPod Touch. No matter how I convince Chris and Jen that I can use it for business, storing presentations, videos and more, it is nothing more than an expensive ‘want.’ Now I can say that I had a little extra hard-earned cash laying around for the purchase, which made it less stressful.

Stress is a major player in living organic and fit. Making unnecessary ‘want’ purchases can add extra-unneeded stress. But can NOT having these extreme wants put extra stress on our bodies and minds?

I think the answer is a big fat yes. I know that when I have my mind set on a ‘want’ purchase, I am filled with as much stress about how to obtain it then after I load up the credit card when I shouldn’t have. How do we cure this?

I think the answer lies somewhere within our own cravings and thoughts. A little self-discipline can go a long way. Instead of stressing on the things we ‘want,’ we should focus on our needs and indulge in impulse purchases for wants. Miri Outing 27-28 Nov

Miri, the City of Oil. For those people who have not heard of Miri before, you might have heard of Lutong. So, that's what Miri is all about. Another fact is that, Miri has just upgraded its status to City several years back. Before that, it was just an oil town with no major development, BUT it is frequent by Bruneians every weekend. Why? It's the same theory why Singaporeans go to Johore during the weekend as well. If you still can't get it, perhaps you can do the same thing which happened in Kota Bharu Mall just recently - a car slam through the shopping complex's wall, and flew down all the way in between the escalator, and terminated TWO pitiful souls.

So, this trip was supposed to be fish-survey trip, which initially inclusive of Gerry and Amier. However, the closer it gets, more and more people joined the bandwagon. It was GREAT!!
Thus, there were 7 of us in total - Zhia Howe, Chen, Kenneth, Melissa, Gerry, Amier and Jalen. Later in the afternoon, 2 more joined the trip - Grace and Loo. Well, their participation were actually unexpected, as there were slight miscommunication between the housemates (Mel, Ken, Loo....n ...Grace). It's a long story, but just note that it was a funny yet hilarious moment.
So, Gerry drove his City Babe while Chen drove his X-Trail Cougar.

We departed at 8.00am, and had our breakfast at the famous Kolo Mee shop in Medan Jaya. There, we met Jeremy, and as common and as usual, sending his car for some inspection. I have to thank Jalen for the Kolo Mee treat. :)

At roughly 10pm, off we go to Miri. Our first destination was Bintang Mall. I guess the only thing we did there were : Surveying Fitness Equipments, Popular Book Fair, Mc Donalds, Trying out OSIM and OGAWA massage chair, Playing some toys in TOYS"Я"US meeting up Sim and Ying Ying. I bet the few kids did enjoy themselves at TOYS"Я"US.

Then, i left that place with Amier and Gerry to some Aquarium shops to hunt for, erm, i don't really know what they were looking for. But one thing for sure, they were just looking at small fishes like Guppies. As a person who's not so fond into small things, i chose to look at puppies and big fishes like Arowana, Kaloi and Flower Horn. We actually went to a few aquarium shops, just to survey the Guppies there. Quite interesting to know a few facts about Bettas too, such as Half Moon, Split tail and so forth. Amier is really the guy you should refer to when it comes to Guppies and Bettas Breeding.

So, there goes our day time activity. We went back to Bintang Mall to meet up with the rest, and, at the same time, tried to convince Chen to stay back. The story goes like this. Chen initially planned to go for a day trip, and hush hush hush back to Bintulu to do some laundry and some cleaning work. After much persuasion, he turned in, and agreed to stay to join us. So, he had to shop for the things he had to use that night - shirt, trousers, the "triangle", toothbrush, shower gel... I got myself a piece of Cocoaberry.

Our initial plan was to rent an apartment at Imperial Hotel. Unfortunately, it was fully booked that night. So, we have to proceed to Plan B. There were 3 cars, so each car was in-charge to look for any available rooms that night.

Platoon A - Gerry's Car : Hunt for Mega Hotel, and any Cheapo Hotel..
Platoon B - Loo's Car : Hunt for Dynasty Hotel..
Platoon C - Chen's Car : Hunt for any other Hotels we could think of..

And there we went, dropping off scouts all around Miri, looking for a shelter for the night. After roughly 45 minutes search, we had decided to stay at Gloria Hotel (forgot d actually). We took 2 rooms, One with 3 Beds, and another one with 4 Beds. Since there were 9 of us, we requested for another 2 extra beds to be placed in the room with 4 Beds.

Then, i asked James to come over, and then we could go for dinner together. So, at roughly 9pm, we departed to Rumah Asap in Pujut for some Pork Meal. That was my first time in life to eat so much Pork within a meal. Just Imagine, Roast Pork, Roast Pork, Pansuh Babi, BBQ Pork, and whatever Pork you could thought of. We were bloated with Porks that night. Surprisingly, there were this sigh board showing "Kedai Babi", and now i know why.

After that killer meal, which we has agreed to post in FB with the comment "This is the best Hari Rxxx Kxxxxx Ever", we went to some pubs nearly. If not mistaken, its called "Island".

There, all of us ordered some beer, and Jalen the ambitious, order "Around the World". I order KilKenny, highly recommended by James and Amier.

After that drinking session, we went back to the Hotel. Everyone was damn tired. So, we went to bed quite early. Nothing special happened that night. Fingers crossed.

The next day, we went to Ming's Cafe to have some breakfast. I think we sat there for nearly 2 hours don't we? Then. we went back to Bintang Mall again, coz Ken wanted to get himself a Bench + Dumbells. Amier went to GNCWell to get himself a new Protein. I guess in 3 months time, i am going to see the Muscular Pair - Ken & Amier.

Loo and Grace went back early in the morning. I don't know the reason, but perhaps they have something else that day la.

After buying all the things needed, we all departed in deep sadness. Chen went off early, while Gerry, Me and Amier went back to the Aquarium shop to buy fish, blood worm etc.
So, while waiting, i managed to snap some photo of the cutest thing in the world.

We have always argued "My car can run further than your car, My car more save fuel than yours" or "Yalah, my car drink petrol like drink water" or "Haih, i spend so much on my car petrol, not like yours, so Save Fuel"..

Well, all thanks to Asian Auto-Mudah.my. It is their second year running, the first and only automotive awards in Malaysia to recognize fuel efficient vehicles, announcing the results for Fuel Efficiency Awards 2009.

For all of you who owns a car, and claims that your car is more Save Fuel than one another, below is a reference. IF you think your car consume more fuel, try to change the way you drive, or, send your car for some Overhaul. But, the best thing is, send your car for maintenance timely.
If your car has achieved even better results than below, perhaps you might want to share with us your secrets. :)

p/s: I am curious why MyVi and ViVa are not in the list. Perodua self-claimed Most Fuel Efficient Vehicle? OR, they try to avoid Perodua from winning the awards, because giving space to Proton. Debatable. Another one, Honda City is supposed to be Most Fuel-Efficient City Car, But..But..But..

Perhaps some of us aren't aware of the history of Proton and Perodua, here's a short story i would like to tell.

Overview
A story about the two (2) Sons of Malaysia, Elder Son – Proton and Younger Son – Perodua. This post is targeted at Malaysian readers, hence non-Malaysians readers might would like to skip this post unless they are interested in Malaysia’s local car industry.

Disclaimer
I am not the author of the following story, I received this via an email forward quite a long time ago. Spend quite some time digging this up as I can’t remember the title, the story is about two car manufacturing firms in Malaysia so I guess that only Malaysians can truly understand what it is talking about.

Proton vs Perodua
Once, there was a family known as Malaysia. In 1985, they were blessed with their first born, Proton. The family loved Proton all they can.

They gave Proton everything. They protected Proton from the bigger boys in Kindergarden. They told Proton, “You’re young, you need protection from them. It’s okay to make mistakes, you’re young. Even if you don’t learn from mistakes…it’s okay…you are young.”

Proton became spoilt. He always depended on parents and used up all his allowance on useless things. When he had to do his chores, he paid people to do it and the work is lousy, causing the parents having to call repairmen to fix all the mess that he made.

Anyway, when Proton was 10 (but he still acted like he is 1 or 2 years old), he had a younger brother, Perodua. At first, everyone thought.

This younger brother will be like Proton. Anyway, this new baby was more handsome and looks smarter than Proton. Malaysia knew there is a possibility Perodua could be smarter than proton. Since they love Proton so much, they decided that Perodua can only learn a few things. Cannot learn the same thing as Proton. This is so that Perodua wouldn’t Beat Proton at what Proton is doing.

Although Perodua was also protected by Malaysia, he learn to be independent very fast. He made good friends with Daihatsu, who had An elder brother Toyota. The two of them helped Perodua in everything. Perodua, being independent and smart, learned a lot and in a short while, was becoming as good as, if not better, than Proton.

Malaysia realized that Perodua was becoming better than his brother.Although proud of Perodua, they still love Proton best. They paid Lotus which is older and well known worldwide) to be friends with Proton.

Using this advantage, Proton mentioned Lotus every time he wanted to Tell people about himself. On this own, he was still the same.

Moreover, Proton is always not updated. When doing his work, he Still uses the typewriter and refuses to use the computer. Perodua, so much younger, used the computer, with broadband for his work. Perodua was improving so much that Toyota has assigned him with his work, codename Avanza.

2005. Proton is 20 years old, Perodua only 10. It was obvious that Perodua was the more successful of the two siblings. What is worse,Proton said he still need his parents to help him for another 10 years.

He still need to protection from the big boys. In May 2005, Perodua was about the show Malaysia his best work so far…codename Myvi. Proton, being jealous…quickly came up with an unprofessional remark about Perodua’s work and show his work at the same time as Perodua on purpose.

The future of Malaysia and her two kids are still unknown. But it would be obvious that Perodua will shine, leaving Proton crying. It would be wonder if in 2015, Proton will ask Malaysia for another 10 years of Help and protection…maybe this time…protection from Perodua as well

Air Asia VS Malaysia Airlines

Looking back several decades ago, when traveling across the nations by Plane had been something which only the rich could afford. For the poor, they have always gone to the Airport to look at aeroplanes landing and take-off. For the government servants, they have always been waiting for the free passage ONCE for every 3 years. For the above average, of course, they get to fly without any worries and thoughts.

I have been fortunate enough to fly at very young age, because my parents are under the 2nd Category, which have been waiting for 3 odd years just to get the chance to bring their family for a trip to KL. By then, only Malaysia Airlines was available. Hence, it was so obvious that the air route was dominated by MAS. Nevertheless, their service were excellent. They served good foods on board, offering souvenirs to the little ones, and IF you are cold and uncomfortable of the seat, you can always request for blankets and pillows. I had quite a few bad experiences flying, because i tend to vomit and got headache whenever sitting in an aeroplane. Weakling me...

So, those were the days when MAS had their golden years. Their indisputable service were finally threatened by the new born baby, Air Asia.

Air Asia is just similar to a smart kid. When we look at those extraordinary kid, they tend to learn things faster than normal human, and can even master knowledge only 30 years old people can achieve. Same goes to AirAsia. Under the leadership of Datuk Tony Fernandes, Air Asia has grown fast enough to become one of the best Low-Cost Courier in the world.

Air Asia is smart enough to come out with the theme "Now Everyone Can Fly". MAS is not that bad too, with the theme "Malaysian Hospitality".

From these air courier companies, i have actually learnt one lesson from it.

"In order to suit yourself in this ever changing world, you have to adapt to what is around, and never be stubborn with what you think it the best. What is applicable 10 years back doesn't mean it is still effective today."

I guess this goes to General Motors too, and they are regaining back their position.

MAS had faced quite a huge loss for the past few years, ever since AirAsia emerged as the most-favourite Airlines in Malaysia. Ever since, they have adopted AirAsia's strategy to sustain in the airline industry. Undoubtedly, MAS is protected by our Malaysian Government. Hence, they were pampered all this while. This is the time for them to show what they are actually made on. Not on Government, but because of their Past Excellent tracks record and history.

But, i would like to list down some of the amazing things about each airlines. Behold, the following are just my personal views, and shall not be related to any particular groups/ parties/ people.

Let me start with Air Asia.

1. They offer free seats

2. They offer low-price seats

3. They waive Airport Tax

4. They ease air ticket purchasing through online booking

5. They have pretty stewardess

6. LCCT is easily accessible at low price (SkyBus)

7. They accept CIMB & Maybank account for online booking (no longer rely on Credit Cards)

8. They have a very well-written magazine on board - Travel2Sixty.

BUT

1. They like to trick customers with their Go-Insure Insurance. "Click CANCEL to cancel insurance, not OK"

2. Airport tax is waived, but there are still other charges being applied. Recently, they charge for booking through Credit Card. So, use CIMB or Maybank for cheaper rates.

3. They only allow 15KG luggage weight to be checked in.

4. They charge for the number of checked-in luggages

5. The service crews/ staffs of AirAsi

a are a little arrogant, and unfriendly EXCEPT the stewardess. (I believe most of us agree with this).

6. The impose quite a high charges on the food menu.

7. Passengers has to walk up/ down the stairs to board/ leave the plane.

8. Impose a lot of charges for flight ticket change.

9. A few more which i am lazy to list them down here.

So, now let's compare with MAS.

1. MAS provides the "Canopy" or "overhead shelter" when boarding/ leaving the plane.

2. They treat their customers with the principle "Customers always Right".

3. They open new counter 30 minutes before departure of flight, to cater for passengers who are still in the queue. If Air Asia, they will just keep silent and by the time you reach the counter, "I am sorry Sir, but our counter is closed. You will have to catch the next flight to reach your destination". Too "Business Oriented".

4. Very considerate. Let's look at how they deal with passengers with baby. They will serve the Father with the meal 20 minutes before the original catering time. Hence, by the time they serve the meal, the Father can take care of the baby, and the Mother can happily enjoy her meal. THUMB UP!!

5. Adopting Air Asia's strategy, which makes our flying experience even greater.

6. No limit of number of Checked-in Luggages.

7. Tolerance of +-2KG from 20 KGs for luggage.

8. Friendly Staffs. 9. More spacious seats

BUT

1. Fare is a little too expensive

2. Old Aircraft

3. Un-Screened selection of Stewardess/ Steward. The rule of "170cm for Female, and 180cm for Male" no longer applies.

4. Yet to think

All in all, their pilot's landing skill has improved a lot, expecially for MAS airlines. Last time, whenever the aircraft touching the runway, i could feel my heart nearly fell out from my body. Now, it's all smooth and comfortable landing. Wee~

Today, i had a chat with my colleagues, specifically Khairul, Chieng and Su. We were having our free chat as usual, until the GOLF topic popped up. Certainly, Khairul who claims himself as pro, has a lot to say. On the other side, me as a rookie, has a lot to ask. So, here goes.

Handicap.

Khairul explained to me what handicap means. In a golf game, it is actually a very fair game. When you are playing against a pro, he will have to give you some handicap. Say, in a PAR game, they have 18 holes, with 4 Stroke each. So, in total, you will have 72 strokes per game.

Bintulu, A GOOD or a BAD place?

Out of curiosity, i somehow consulted Mr. Google for more opinions on what Bintulu can offers. Well, to my expectations, most of the hits returned were more about what are the places in Bintulu, the Hotels, the Industries and Factories, the Celcom & Broadband, and the list goes on.

I realized that Bintulu has actually very little description on the advantages and disadvantages living in Bintulu. I personally think that, Bintulu is a good place to save money, because there's not much entertainment for you to spend on. You might opt for some hobbies like Fishing, Fish Mating, Jungle Trekking, Roadtrip to KK/ KCH and so forth. I most certainly has opted for Fishing, Sports and Church. Seemingly, Bintulu has offered quite a lot of choices for our fellow Christians. There are so many churches everywhere, but only 2 Temples. Why? Ask BDA, not me.

Besides, Bintulu is also a good place to settle down. It's a peaceful town, with calm environment. Let's not look into the polluted air, bumpy roads and stuffs first. I think what makes Bintulu unique is because of the people living here. Most of the people in Bintulu are actually enjoying Above-Average Lifestyle, which also signifies the quality of their standard of living. I can say that most of the Bintulu-ians are rich. These are all manifested through their homes and vehicles. Businesses are blooming.

Looking at the dark side, Bintulu is also popular for the "scandalous" society. Many people who came to Bintulu, somehow found their third half of their life, letting aside their second half of their life, living is sorrow and desperation. How true is this? I can name a few. Believe it or not, it's all up to you to judge.

FYI, Bintulu is also called Gas Town, or Oil Town if you want to call it. That's because we are producing Liquefied Natural Gas, and also Palm Oil. But, i am giving it another name as well. Zombie Town. I guess it has given birth to quite a lot of no-life losers. At least i am transforming to be one..

So, what triggers me to write this is because of what i have encountered today. 24th November 2009, 5.15 p.m., along the road from Tanjung Kidurong to Nyabau.

There has been a lot of things bothering me lately..My mind is always filled with questions after questions after questions..Something like nested question marks..

I am now trying to find my way out, a promising way to achieve my goal..

I wish i could meet a sensei to guide and coach me..I wish i could get hold of opportunities..

From today onwards, my life will be very busy, looking for answers..I will not stop seeking until i find the right one..

I am also curious how a mortal's heart can change so drastically..as if nth has ever happened before, and proceed with the new life (nth related to me, but i am concern)

PETRONAS Family Day Carnival 2009

PETRONAS Family Day Carnival, of more frequently known as Karnival Keluarga PETRONAS, has sadly comes to an end. This year, the Family Day is organized by Asean Bintulu Fertilizer Sdn. Bhd (ABF) with the support from Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd. (MLNG). It was held from 20th November 2009 to 22nd November 2009 at Kelab Kidurong Bintulu (KKB).

This is an annual event which will be organized by PETRONAS to show their care and concern not only to the employees, but also their spouses and family members. This is one of PETRONAS ways to show their appreciation and gratitude towards the efforts and sacrifices of its employees. This event obviously mean a lot to all PETRONAS staffs as they get to enjoy good food, good performances from famous artists and also winning lucrative prizes ~~in a town like Bintulu~~.

Program Line Up

Let's start with the Food Stalls first. There were not as many stalls as i have expected. Most of the stalls are just repetition of one and another. We have KFC, Pizza Hut, Ayam Penyet, Drinks, Western Foods, Ikan Bakar, normal stalls we usually see during Pasar Malam and etc. From my observation, i think the stalls that made the most profit are KFC, Pizza Hut and the Drinks. Period. (notice the BOLD?)

As a PETRONAS staffs, they are giving out RM20 Coupons to each Staffs/ Spouse, RM15 Coupons to each kid. So, i presume some family has received more than RM100 of Coupons, and some people has RM200 of Coupons because .......... . They have also given out straw hats to all the staffs and family too. Some people do look a little like Monkey D'Luffy in One Piece (Anime). Grin :P. Anyway, as a committee, i received an extra RM15 Coupon, and a T-Shirt.

I am involved in Fun and Games Department. So, we have actually organized quite a lot of interesting activities. Namely, Fun Fair, Management Games, Colouring Contest, Inflatable, Console Games and many more. I believe some of you might have seen my Facebook status message stating that i was all worn out playing those consoles. So, here's a short preview of the Console Game Section.

Well, you might be thinking. How much does that all costs? And how are they given out? So, the price for all of those in a bundle is confidential. However, how are you going to win those prizes? We had organized a tourney for this. It is divided into 3 categories.

My role was as the OPS leader. OPS - operations. So, i will be assigning all the committees their respected duty on the day itself. I have come out with a quite comprehensive schedule and job description for the committees to follow. So, part of my duty is to be a MC, score board handler, tournament coordinator and etc. Oh ya, another most important duty, GIVE OUT THE PRIZES TO THE WINNER. :( :( :(

Speaking of the duty assignment, i think i did it quite badly. Looking at the chart i drafted, and the committee members who turned out during the event, i would say i am quite disappointed. WHY? Because some of them did not even turn out, and what's more? They didn't even inform me earlier. I have requested for confirmation for the whole week, and what i got was just an absenteeism from the whole event. But, all thanks to Amier, Nazri, Gerry, Azran, Nurhadi and Syed for helping out as well although their duty starts in the afternoon. Not to forget the 5 trainees too. You are all AWESOME!Anyway, i am quite satisfied with those who turn out during the event. At least we have helped each other during the whole Console Game tournament.

Oh ya, i forgot to mention. PETRONAS has invited the well-known, famous, popular, hot and rocking artist, Amy Search to the event as well. He has performed for 2 nights in KKPB!! You should have seen the crowd. It was tremendous!! Well, i am not so into these artists, so i got home around 9pm every night, just to have an early rest to prepare for the next day.

Among the other popular artists are Krystal, Aishah AF7, Claudia AF7, Sepah Raja Lawak 3 and a few more.

Natural Gas Course 2009

I feel very honored and grateful for having the opportunity to attend the Natural Gas Course. It was merely a fortune for me that i could attend the course. Thank you to my Manager for nominated me to replace him for the course. Else, i would not have benefited so much from the entire course.

Natural Gas Course is an event organized by MLNG annually, which will be chaired by our Consultants from the West, Potens and Partners. This course basically gives an entire overview on the Gas Business, what is NG, how is it extracted from the platform, how is it channeled to processing plants, the surface overview of the liquefaction processes, and lastly, how it is shipped to our customers.

Along the way, we have been explained of the current market situation of the Gas Business, and speculations made for the next 5-10 years. It is believed that the emergence of Qatar Gas has actually brought a huge leap to Gas Industry, and likewise.

Apart from that, they have also explained the procedures in acquiring/ securing a contract with our reputable buyers, mainly from Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. Not to forget, China and India as well. To further enhance our understanding in the contract securing process, they have come out with a super-duper-extravaganza-hilarious-fun-syndicate-game, which is actually a case study to all of us.

If i could still recall it accurately. All of us are divided into 7 groups, and each group are further divided into 3 sub groups, which consists of the supplier, the processor, and the buyer.

Pan Oil & Gas - Plant owner for Gas Processing (Buy NG from XNOC, Sell LNG to ZGas)
ZGas - Buyer for the Liquefied Natural Gas

I feel very proud to say that i was grouped under Team 4, and my role was as a negotiator for ZGas in order to secure a deal with Pan Oil & Gas. The activity was carried out in a near-real-time activity. Updates were issued to all of the participants randomly. Some of the informations are confidential, some are just news regarding the industry. A lot of considerations that has to be made before going for a negotiation with our counterpart. Proudly, under the Leadership of Mr. Osamu Iwamoto, we successfully completed the activity, at the shortest time, with the best project economics analysis & evaluation, securing a Bank Loan from the Bankers, and emerged as the WINNER for the Syndicate Activity. It was such a proud moment to stand in front of all of the other people, as the Winner of the game.

From my point of view, i think everyone was the winner. Why? Because everyone has spent all of their time and effort in preparing for the syndicate activity. Some of them even worked till midnight just to come out with the right price and conditions for negotiation purposes. Their spirit is very much impressed and appreciated. However, our group is always the last to start, first to have tea break/ lunch/ leave the meeting room. Perhaps we have reached agreement among each other easily. I heard some of the participants acted seriously, as if the whole thing is a real deal. So, that would be a challenge for their team mates i suppose.

Enough of the activity. Let's get into the Food and Beverages. I have to admit that this is my first time in life to witness such grand dinner served that night. I was so impressed by the settings, the variety of food choices, the level of the taste...One word. Speechless. It was beyond too delicious. First thing i noticed was, there was this fake tree outside of the ball room, with all kinds of fruits hanging on it. Not to exaggerate, but, i saw 3 durians on that tree as well. My God!
They even hung cempedak, rambutan, grapes, mata kucing, ... ... ... ... ... on that particular tree. The most interesting part is that, you can just pluck it and eat. Cool eh? Most occasion it is meant for decoration. This event is to create the ambient and atmosphere for the foreigners to experience Asia Living Style.

The tea break settings are awesome too. There was one particular setting which embarked into my mind permanently. They had this Halloween Theme during one of the tea break. All of the waitress and waitress were wearing their contumes (which i can only recognize some of it - dracula). There was a coffin on the table as well, with a fake mummy inside it. Next to it was this nicely carved pineapple with a light within it (I guess they are replacing pumpkin with that). Creative work there. Thumb Up!! And what's next? The lighting were simply splendid. Exactly created the anxious yet scary environment. There was this Korean guy who did not even dare to step foot into the Ball Room. He was sitting outside, asking some of his friends to take some food for him. Hurm..If i were to rate the Halloween theme, i would give 9/10!!!

That's not all about the program. During the last day, we had a plant trip to MLNG. Certainly, it was not much of a program for me since i am in the plant everyday. But, it was an eye-opener for the buyers from the East. They used to see ships unloading the LNG to their gas proccessing plant, but they have never seen how it is processed. This trip is the most awaited program in the entire course - according to a few japanese ladies which i managed to engage a conversation with.

On that afternoon, we had a trip to Iban Longhouse. To be frank, the longhouse was like an oven, frying all of us underneath it. OMG! People who know me well do know i sweat a lot. I was all wet until there was this guy asked me this, "Was it raining outside?". Oh well, i am athletic i suppose. :)

On the way to the Iban Longhouse, i was talking to this Manager from Tokyo Gas. We have shared a lot of information, not limited to only work related issues, but also into personal views and opinions on certain issues. I was impressed by her English. She could speak fluent English..and, on the way back, we continued sharing our thoughts. Finally, she came out with a Pen, a souvenir from Japan. I believe all of you must be wondering, "what's so special about a pen? I can have it anywhere i want!". Well, you are wrong. This pen is special. As usual, it has four colours on each angle - Red, Blue, Black, Green. But, the one extra which we seldom see is, it is integrated with Pencil & Eraser as well. COOL!!!!

Speaking of souvenir, i did receive another souvenir from Mr. Iwamoto. He gave me a Japan Prawn Cracker which he personally brought from Nagoya. I have not opened it yet though, due to its nice paper wrapping. :)

However, there's a downside of the whole program. MY BAG WAS SWAPPED!!!
Just imagine, my valuables, my car keys, my personal identification items..all are inside. It took me roughly 2 hours to trace my bag back. Well, in between the processes, many parties involved, and i have gone up and down the lift for many many times. I have even bothered a "bathing" guy to get out of his tub, rushed to his bag, just to check whether that bag is mine. Sorry Dude, for disturbing your personal moment. Anyway, i just want to express my gratitude to whoever have helped me in my Bag Hunting journey.

Oh well, it was ended in a usual manner - sadness. But, i will visit Tokyo & Nagoya someday. Not to forget, Jung-Jai, i will visit you in Seoul!! Remember our deal yeah!! I pay the ticket, you take care of everything after that! haha..

Yeah..i have put those money into a more enjoyable experience, vision-comfy tool..

I just got myself a new LCD Screen..It's a 20" Wide Screen Samsung LCD Screen. Guess what? All of the controls are sort of like "Touch-Panel" feature..a resemblance of a Touch Screen..

Apart from that cool feature, it is in arrogant black in colour...matches my entire set of PC - black CPU, black speakers, black keyboard, black mouse, and now a black LCD Screen. Cool eh??

SvBux is still under DDos Attack!!

This is what i read from other forum.

I received an email from the admin. The server was terminated by SvBux's host because of the attack - it was damaging resources. Admin has wasted a lot of money with them, $65 an hour for support and even more for the firewall.

He has informed me that he is looking for a new server to purchase WITH DDoS protection. He is looking into DDoSblock... so he wants everybody to know that SvBux WILL be back once admin has found a suitable server and protection.

Please be patient guys - don't add pressue to admin, he's working as best as he can.

Let us pray that the server will be up in no time.

I have just sold my OLD CPU for RM550 with my LCD as well. I kinda feel sad for my LCD right now. It has been accompanying me for so many years, and now i will have to let her go. I will miss you, LCD.

FYI, this RM550 is funded for my new LCD though. I will be getting a bigger and sharper LCD. Most probably Samsung, or maybe i will just go for Acer. I will make a trip to Boulevard IT Store tomorrow to have a survey..hehe..

Making the Wise Choice

As usual, i went to NLF every Sunday to listen to the preaching...

The topic today was Making the Wise Choice. Well, certainly, during preaching, everything revolves around making your choice to God..which is believing in Jesus, and believes in the existence of God, whereby only HE is the almight God who will bless us if we have faith in HIM.

However, from the preaching, i have applied it into my own real life situation. Well, not that i do not believe in Christianity beliefs, it's just that i have my own religion, and i am quite sure i have made the right choice. Nevertheless, attending Sunday service is a nothing-to-lose event and not-to-be-missed. I have met a lot of kind and interesting people there, and the eagerness in joining their fellowship is strong. Somehow or rather, i am still standing strong on my own will and principle.

Speaking of making the right choice, the first thing that flashed through my mind was my current career. I have been struggling under the thunder storm before this, and i have started to get the rhythm of it, fortunately. However, just as i am getting myself comfortable with the new environment, i was told that i will be transferred to another department, which seemingly as attractive as my current position. Hence, this is the part where i was considering. Is it the right choice to transfer to out? Or, is staying back doing what i am doing right now is the right choice?

This has been quite a tough choice for me to make. Why? Because there is no choice for me to choose from. I was told, to move to the new department. I was not asked, if i would want to go to that department. I can't deny that at first place, i do have the intention to have a shift to that department, but, as time goes by, i somehow have found the right ground for me. After all, i have never requested to transfer department at first place. It was my Superior who thinks that that department is where i shall belong to, because my current department needs a tiger, not a cat.

Speaking of which, this is what i was told. "There is of course a reason why i want to transfer you to that department. If i give them a kitten, i expect a tiger. Then i will let them train the kitten to be a tiger. Whether the kitten can join back the department or not, it is all dependent on future job opening." Frankly, i felt slightly offended by his statement. But what can i do, i am just a little kitten leeching the resources of my current department. I am happy with where i am now, and im not sure if i will be happy in the new department i will be shifting to.

All i can do now, is to pray. I will pray that i will make the right choice. By praying so, i don't expect things to fall into place by itself. IF, i think that remaining in the current department is the right choice, hence i will try to resist moving out. Else, if i think that switching department is the right choice, i will just follow the flow, and reach the river stream, and then into the sea. Perhaps opportunity awaits at the end of the sea, if there is.

So, what's the right choice to make? I will decide while attending my Natural Gas Course, which will stretch for one whole week, which includes plant visit and longhouse visit. Kinda interesting though looking at the itinerary. Hopefully the whole program exceeds expection!!

I went for this Defensive Driving Test in Bintulu, in order for me to be able to Legally Drive in MLNG. According to the theory i read, the entry level is our D license, Defensive Driving is Intermediate, and Drifting is considered Expert. Oh well, i guess i am an Intermediate Driver now.

On Thursday, PETRONAS had this session called "Policy Address by President". It is more about the Planning and Budgeting Cycle for year 2010/2011 and also 5 years to come. We had this Video Conferencing simultaneously across the globe. Among the states and countries were on LIVE are Bintulu, Miri, KK, Labuan, Kerteh, Paka, KLCC, Melaka, Gurun, Cape Town, Khartoum...These are some snap shots...

This is my work place, and those are the PPE (Personal Protective Equipments) that i MUST wear while entering the plant.

This is where i work. Menara Kidurong Bintulu, in case you have never been there. Many people don't know this is my office. When they reach there, they say, "WOW!So nice!!". But then..it is far from MLNG, so..yeah..pros and cons.

Hi guys,

It has been quite sometime since my last post in this blog....Gotta apologize as i was kinda busy though..

Well, just a brief update about my work in MLNG.

I joined PETRONAS since 16th of April, and ever since, i have attended quite a few trainings and joined quite a number of Departments as well. I have attended PIPE (Petronas Induction Program for new Executives) which have consumed 2 weeks in KL. It was awesome!! You can refer to my FB for those photos which were uploaded by those PIPEESS a while back. Then, i came over to MLNG, Bintuluto join PDD (Project Development Department). I consider it as a slip of fate. Why? Well, simple. I was told by my colleagues and bosses that only experienced engineers/ executives can join that department. So, i guess that wasn't a good start for me after all. Oh well, life goes on. I love the environment anyway. My office is located several hundred meters from the plant. So to speak, it has slightly cleaner and fresher air. :)

Then, i was assigned to Fairus under MDD (MLNG Dua Debottlenecking) Project. Even my name card is printed with that. I guess my name card going to expire soon. I have joined this project for nearly a month before i got attached to ENA/2 (Engineering Area 2) doing maintenance on MLNG Tiga Plant (Model Plant for LNG). The same thing applies, i have attached there for a month too under Syahrul. Both of my supervisors are very experienced, very kind, and super uber cool!! My life starts to ROCKZ ever since.

Well. i have just finished another attachment at Instrument Engineering Department under System - dealing with PLC and DCS. I have to admit, i have not learnt much, but the exposure i had is enough for me to troubleshoot some minor problems in the plant. Thank you to Boon and Mr. Ting for their generous guidance.

Oh ya, i forgot to mention. Each corporations do have a time-out session for their staffs to relax. So do my departmentsss. Why do i add the 's' behind? Let's take a step back at my blog.

I have moved from PDD to MDD, MDD to ENA/2, ENA/2 to ENC/3 in just 5 months. Well, i see it as a good start anyway as i am getting to know people along the way. Some people have told me, how MLNG people are different from others!! I strongly doubt that. You know why? MLNG people are as friendly as other OPUs employees are. As far as i know, those i know of of course, they are extremely friendly. Okay, skip that and go back to the point. Well, i am lucky to join TWO (2) Time-Outs in 2 weeks. I guess non of us has ever done that. This is because, 2 weeks ago, ENA/2 was having a time-out session at Tanjung Batu Beach, and coincidentally, i was having my attachment there. Then, last Friday, ENC/3 was having theirs as well. AND guess what, i happened to attach to that department as well. So, there i go again!!
I LOVE BBQ CHICKENs!!

Alright, end of story. Now, i am quite blur about my progress in MLNG. I am not sure where i will be joining for the next few months. However, according to one of the manager i have met, he told me i will be joining ENC/3 very soon as they have specially created a post for me in the department, most probably Instrument & Control under the ever-experienced Shahrul Rashid, the TP. It will be a good start for me if it really comes true.

My plan for the next few months, i will be attending trainings, assessments and the like. Oh ya, did i mention that? I will be finishing my probation period next week (15/10/2009). Hurray!!

Enough of work-talk. Speaking of leisure time. I have wasted quite a lot of my time playing Dota for the first 4 months, and yeah, now i am in transition phase from DOTA-Freak to Sports-freak. So to those of you who wants to meet me, you can meet me in KKB (Kelab Kidurong Bintulu) everyday from Monday to Saturday.

Speaking of savings, i have committed myself in several saving plans which i am not so sure whether they are good or not. But the one i want to share with you guys is the PTC - Pay to Click. I have taken 11 hours bus ride from BTL-KCH and another 11 hours ride from KCH-BTL.
I have gone for clubbing with Ed and Chun Liang in Bintulu. We drank at 3 places in one night (Blueberry Cafe, Top Joy, Casablanca).
I have super duper cool Mentor (Pantaleon) and bosses (Mr. Loo, Hj. A Rahman, ZB, Ting, Syahrul, Fairus, Shahrul, Hj. Baharin and the list goes on).

I have to admit i have been so insensitive to this H1N1 Virus outbreak. Nevertheless, once it affects my life, my plan. I start to look into it in a more detailed way.

Anyway, My Convocation might be affected by this pandemic. Refer below.

Dear All,

We have listed below the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (FAQs) on H1N1. Please read through for your own understanding and also please respond accurately if you receive any queries from students, parents and public.

Q1. Are any of UTP students infected with Influenza A(H1N1)?
Ans: No confirmed cases. Six (6) throat swab were taken on 27 July 2009 by Perak Tengah Health Department, however until 30 July 09, the results has not been announced yet.

Q2: Is it true that UTP will be closed in the nearest time?
Ans: UTP Management is monitoring the Influenza Like Illness (ILI) trend. If the cases reach 100, the University will be closed after consultation from Perak Tengah Health Department.

Q3: What has UTP done to mitigate the spread of ILI?
Ans: Students will be quarantined if they show severe ILI symptoms such high fever (>37.5 deg C). Stringent access control is being imposed, food & beverages is supplied and in-house doctor is monitoring their health conditions daily. For those who show mild symptoms, 2 days medical leave will be given and they were instructed to stay at their respective room with strict precautions. All student activities outside campus has been reviewed and external visits (i.e. school visit) has been cancelled. Surface disinfection works at public areas is on-going and face masks has been distributed to all staff & students.

Q4: What is the advice to the suspected ILI?
Ans: Don’t panic and seek medical attention from UTP in-house clinic immediately. Cover your mouth and nose appropriately and avoid going to crowded places.

Q5: What is the advice to the students who have been instructed to undergo home-quarantine?Ans: Refer to the attached ‘UTP Home Isolation Guidelines’.Q6: Where can parents get latest information of the status?

Q7: Can parents take their affected ILI son/daughter back home?

Dear all,

I wish to inform all of you, in view of the Influenza-like Illness (ILI) among our students, we have decided to close the university beginning 3.00pm today, Friday, 31 July 2009 until 3.00pm, Thursday, 6 August 2009. All students (UG & PG) without symptoms of ILI are to leave the campus starting 3.00pm onwards and latest by at 12.00 noon, Saturday, 1 August 2009.All academic activities will resume on Monday, 10 August 2009.
International students and students from Sabah and Sarawak can remain in campus. However, please note that you are not allowed to leave the campus during the above campus closure period.

Exit Instruction:
Students are encouraged to return home either by using public transport, own transportation or with parents/guardian. Please refer the ‘Home Assessment Tool’ provided by the Health Ministry as a guide to ensure your protection against H1N1. You can collect this at the Main Guard House.

Students with the ILI symptoms must undergo screening at the UTP Health Centre before returning home. If you are required to be quarantined you may only return home accompanied by parents/guardian. You must take all necessary precautions including wearing a face mask at all times. Please refer to the ‘Home Assessment Tool’ provided by the Health Ministry as guide for patient at home quarantine.

The university will provide buses to Medan Gopeng Bus Station starting 3.00pm today.
Please leave all your room keys with Residential College Office for disinfection purposes. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action/s.

Lesson 1

Go through troubles without complaining
There is always reason why there are so many challenges and barriers in our lives. Especially when we are trying to reach something. People tend to give up halfway when challenges come one after another. For instance. When you are trying to go to Miri to have a meal of McD. There are so many challenges to go through.
1. How are you going over? Car? If you don't have. Bus? Troublesome. Cant make it in time.
2. If you are driving. Coastal Road? Safe during day time, dangerous at night. Old Road? Safe, but the journey is a roller-coaster ride.
3. Is you car filled with enough Fuel? There's no petrol station along the road. WHAT IF, your car is running out of fuel? Are you gonna call someone from Bintulu and pull your car back? Or you are gonna call someone to pull your car from Miri.
4. When you reach Miri. You cant recognise the road either.
5. Bla Bla Bla...

So, that's a very simple example. Any challenges that existed in our lives are meant to be for a reason. Those challenges are to discipline us, to train us, to be a better person.
My advice is that, if you face trouble in the future, be it minor or major. Do not give up. Do not blame. Face it with courage, and without you even notice it, you have grown to be a strong and persistent person.

Lesson 2

Forgive and Forget, Let Bygone be Bygone
Forgiving is a practice. It is something everyone should have in their soul. The statements says that, for each behaviour or act acted upon us, they weren't meant to be done in purpose. Therefore, try to put down your sword, and bestow upon him. Forgive is a deed. I have always believed in Karma. Whoever does wrong to us, we give them chance to change. That's our part in that particular person's life. Whatever punishment that he deserves, we leave it to the Karma or justice. Who are we to Judge anyway?

Lesson 3

Do what you can, and do not look on what others can
I believe this is very true in the sense that, "Do not put on hat that doesn't suit you". It implies Do anything that is within your capability, and control. Do not look at what others can afford/ accomplish, and measure his extend to your ownself. So, be contented, and work harder if you want to make a difference in life.

In a race, it is the effort in finishing the race that matters, and not winning the race

Build your life on strong foundation
For instance. Wise man build the house on rock. When the rain comes down, thunder storms, streams flow, the house will still stand still firmly on the rock.

How to Manage your Financial

Recently, i was flooded by Investment ideas from every aspect of my life.

When i attended HSEQ Training, there were colleagues discussing on investing in ASB through taking 20 years LOAN from Maybank.

I have a friend, Jess, who is an experienced and smart investor. She always think of ways of earning more and more money. And i believe, by now, she has actually invested and earned a mouthful amount of bread.

Until i visited David's Blog and he wrote about How to make $100,000 work for you. This statement sounds so familiar, and i believe it is generally used by most best selling books in the financial-related market. From his blog, it is manifested how smart he is in handling his money. Of course, not to forget that from each show he performed, it equivalent to my 1 month's salary. So, instead of investing in 2 apartments at one time, i might opt for half apartment as a start perhaps. :)

Anyway, from his blog, he has proposed several ideas in putting your money in good use. Among them are the well-known REAL ESTATE investment/ trades. We know that LAND/ PROPERTIES price will always go up (Proven based on 20 years statistic). Hence, it is never a mistake to make such investment. BUT, the one and only mistake you will commit is when YOU COMMIT YOURSELF TO SUCH BURDEN WHEREBY YOUR INCOME DOES NOT SUPPORT SUCH EXTRA AMOUNT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR PROPERTY. Hence, unless you are financially sound, as in, stable income of at least 70% savings apart from paying the house, you are encouraged to do so.

However, looking at his blog, it makes me envious of how successful he is at the age of 23. If you could own 2 properties at the age of 23, in the next 10 years, i believe you will at least Quadraples the amount easily. Hence, wish you all the best David!!

Back to my case. I do not have any extra cash for investment now. Kinda regret i did not go all out in hunting/ saving money for future investment. 2 of my friends who have invested quite well are Dee and Jess. They have started investing years ago, and i bet they are enjoying the divdens payout. As for me, i have spent most of my money on things, luxurious, foods and etc. I have never thought of investment. So now, i would love to start some minor investment. Be it big or small, risky or conservative, i would want to start.

Hence, i bet the first step is in buying insurance. This investment obviously is an expenses instead of generating money. Yet, i am thinking of my loved ones.

Here's how the story go.

On 25th of July, Me, Syed and Jess went to Miri just to have a lunch at Mc Donalds. Oh my GoodNess!! THey tasted so great and delicious!!!Yum Yum YUM!!! Me and Syed ordered 2 sets each while Jess ordered 1 set. We finished the meals in just a short period of time - 7 mins. Then, we went down for a walk at Bintang Plaza. Then, we encountered this Maybank Roadshow promoting BIJAK MALAYSIA package. This is an Insurance Scheme + Investment. So, it depends on the age of entry, and the amount of contribution each month. After 2 hrs of talk with Joanna (Maybank Agent), the 3 of us decided to purchase the plan from Maybank.

That's the first move..

Next, i plan to gain some knowledge on the following investment funds

3. Etiqa Takaful
4. Forex
5. Gold

Hurm..i believe that would be quite a sloppy journey. Hence, Discipline and Self- Control is very important, especially emotional management. Whoever would like to share their experience, or knowledge on how to invest in Malaysia, do share it here ok? I bet most of the fresh graduates would love to learn something from you.

P/S: I have always dreamt that someday those RICH would lend me RM10 mil to save in FD. Hence, i can earn at least 200k per annum. Hurm..sounds sweet and tasty isn't it? Well, you keep on dreaming and do nothing to it, you will end up the way you are now.

Whenever we move into a stall. A dirty unhygenic stall. What's the first thing in mind? Critism.

Whenever we move into a new house. The house has dirty toilets, ugly house owner, no streamyx, no astro, lousy old haggy fridge. What's the first thing in mind again? Critism.

Whenever we tasted a not-so-famous laksa. What's the first thing in mind? Yuck..followed by Critism.

Those are just the few examples we can see throughout out daily life. Yeah, nowadays unemployment rate has risen to a level which is unpredictable and unbelievable by most of the so-called-developed contries, and who have ever speculated GM would go bancrupt in just a merely 5% of a decade? Just imagine how long have they established their grounds in that deadly soil of theirs..

So, instead of being sarcastic and critize whichever thing we encounter in our life, WHY NOT we try to think it in the other way round. There's always silver lining behind all those right? Let's us start to appreciate whatever we have, whoever we are with, and whichever thing we do. Do not start complaining before even thinking of how it's gonna affect the next minute of your life. Things happen for a reason. I wouldn't want to elaborate more bout my case, but there are just few things which i think most of you agree how i have been ungrateful all these years.

1. When i got Petronas scholarship to further study in UTP. I said, "Damn it, why don't you offer me overseas scholarship? Does it really cost you a bomb to send another kid over?" We have never thought o f how many people out there are dying for this offer.

2. When i moved into Village 5 (Duyung), i was like "Shit..are we gonna stay here at the mean time? This doesn't look like hostel, not even a bit". We should be thankful for the shelter they have provided us with.

3. When i used to have a good companion, i tend to neglect them. I was thinking "Well, all men deserve a spare tyre. I don't look bad afterall, it wasn't so hard to get another one even if i lose this one". Now, when you look back, you know how selfish you are, and how ungrateful you have become. There are so many people out there queuing for the one being with you, and yet you did other things which wasn't right. Repented anyway..

4. When you have a lecturer from overseas, teaching you during lecture. You might think that, "WHy don't UTP hires more American or British lecturer..others have it!!" Yea right...just imagine how many universities in Malaysia has pakistanis and sudanese lecturers in their premises...we are fortunate to have potential lecturers sharing their knowledge with us in UTP.

5. Currently, i am having the most challenging time of my life. THis new job is really challenging my patience as well as passions. I was complaining bout how my department have treated me, how the HR has done their GREAT job, and so forth. Yet, have i ever thought that, "yea, this is the time for me to prove that i am actually capable of living up to that challenge..you don't need me here because i am a fresh graduate. Fine. I will show you someday that it's your loss for not having me in your department. I am gonna help the other department grow and flourish. And who knows, that department would be a better foundation for me in future. The path i have yearned for all these years. Besides, how many people is dying for a job here?Thousands maybe..

6. Whenever we saw a fat girl on the street. Immediately, we labelled them as FAT girl. No hope of being pretty. This is so common in my own university where i have coursemates calling someone fat, and making fun of others at the same time. I did that sometime too, but within limit anyway. Yea, this is obvious isn't it. We tend to call others ugly, short, fat...all of those negative comments. Why not you just stop for a moment, think back of what you have spoken, and ask yourself this. "DO you think you are better than them? Who are you to judge those people? Is that their choice? Just look at your head, you have no hair. Just look at your stomach, you have bladder cancer. Just look at your eyes. You have severe astigmatism. Are you better than them afterall?

This post is created after i have attended church last weekend. There was one statement which sounds like this.

"At times, we are so used to complaint and criticize others for how they have treated us. At times, we are so used to complain and criticize whenever we encounter with a new phase of life, let it be new workplace, new location, new job etc..It's in our veins to complain to whichever think uncomfortable to us. Here, let it be known. Just bear with it, things happen for a reason. You just need to stay on track, always think positively and as long as you persist in your values and beliefs, you will get what you want someday."

So, we went out at 8am on one bright Saturday morning. We headed to Tanjung Batu for Sarawak Laksa (pin, jenny n jess took laksa, i took kampua). Then we went to Taman Tumbina to visit these fellas (tiger, sun bear, peacock, hornbill, python, parrots, crocs,butterflies, ostrich...), Sounds like a Zoo isn't it? If you noticed, Lee Lee tried to harrass one of the ostrich..spot it if u can.

What Happened to me for the past 1 month

It has been a month since i last blogged. You must have wondered where have i been for a month without even seeing me in msn or gtalk. So, here's a simlpe and short update about my whereabouts as well as what i have been engaging myself to..

As the previous posts indicated, i used to be the employee of Digistar Holdings Sdn. Bhd. I have resigned from the post of Project Engineer (Site Supervisor in Kuching) for Dewan Undangan Negeri SARAWAK due to unconditional choiceless offer from PETRONAS. Nevertheless, i feel fortunate for being employed by PETRONAS, the giant national company in Malaysia. Many people have envied about my job position - Electrical Project Engineer, which sounds little similar to Jeslynn's job title as well. However, things doesnt turn out as pretty as what is sounds like.

So, i resigned on 15th of April, and joined Petronas Induction Programme for New Executive (PIPE) Session 40, which stretches for 16 restless days. I have to admit that during the first few days, it was so so so boring as well as blood sucking because i felt so tired after every sessions. Somehow, after knowing people in PIPE, i get to enjoy myself quite well by having sports after everyday's session, and enjoy wallaping all the good foods served in the dining hall. People tend to call me "watermelon" and "chicken" lover boy because my plate is always pilled up with those two food elements. During PIPE, we had quite an intensive programmes which involves indoor and outdoor activities. You will never complain you are too free and you are too energetic for all of the sessions because you will not have time to even stretch your legs and shake at 70kHz frequency.

At the end of the PIPE 40 session(2/5/09), i went down to KL to stay overnight at my sis's place at Jalan Kuching. TQ to Khalis for giving me a lift on his exclusive CRV. I took some of my sis's stuffs and brought over to Bintulu. :)

Then, i took a flight to Bintulu on Sunday (3/5/09) and our arrival was welcomed by two vans. They have sent us over to Kelab Kidurong (KKB), and that's where we have spent the next two week while house-hunting for another shelter. On 4th, that was the first day all of the new executives reporting to MLNG. We have had 1 week of Business Orientation Program(BOP) conducted in-house. It's different from other OPUs who have conducted BOP in KLCC, KL. This gives me the impression that MLNG is trying to save cost for that sense.

Then here is comes, the day i reported to my Department. To my surprise, the department stated in my offer letter is different from the Department i am actually reporting to. In my offer letter, i am supposed to report to Technical Services Department, Plant Division as Electrical Project Engineer. However, during the day we are supposed to report to our Line Manager, i was referred to Project Development Department with the same job title. Having said that, i never complained about the last minute changes which i was not informed about, but i was quite unhappy with the transportation they provide for employees to move around between Menara Kiduring (where my office is) and PLC (Petronas LNG Complex, PLANT). For the entire month, i have to punch in LATE, and punch out EARLY. This makes my record slightly dirty in the punctuality sense.

Besides, i came to a sense that, Petronas is still using Punching Card system. Quite a surprise to me indeed. So and so, i tried to grasp whichever i could in the department, and learn as much as i could because i know nothing about the job i am doing now. To my despair, i cant seek help from either people around here nor in the PLC. I spent my precious time looking and asking around for job/ help i could offer, but none of them seems to have anything allocated for me. WHY? Because at the time i was reporting in, i wasnt expected by my Depaertment. TBC

Speaking of the unexpected event to my department, on the first day i reported to my department, the Manager showed a funny face as he was trying to answer these questions, "Who is this boy?", "Did our department request for new hire?", "Is he qualified to be in this department?", "Who employed him?". Guess what's the next step he took to solve all these puzzles? He called quite a number of people within my department enquiring on the new recruit in PDD. To my deepest soul, i felt demotivated, useless and speechless. How could i be treated in a manner where only ME is located in an unknown department, which is so new to the MLNG plant? Oh ya, my department is very new, because it is established to monitor several big projects that are on-going. I have to admit that it is a pride to be in this department, but just not at the right time and place. Hence, i was told that PDD was not informed of my presence, and thus, they will have to sort thing out with the HR-MLNG and HR-KL to resolve this issue. I was told that i am not the first to face such problem in this department. This comes to a conclusion in my mind saying that, "I think HR Department is trying to hit their KPI, and hence, putting aside the employees' concern, competencies and background". I wish i am wrong, but what i have seen here seems to prove every single point i am stating right here.

Well, enough talk about my department. At least, i have a good GM which is quite new to the department, yet i can see that he is trying his best to merge all of the staffs under PDD, making it strong and capable to deal with future projects. Besides, he cares for all of his employees, and at least, he understands my concern and tried to clear my mind with several options possibly to be taken in 2 months time. So, the only thing i can do right now is to read as many manuals and notes as possible, and try to get some hands-on when the opportunity comes. FYI, he's the 2nd Chinese GM in MLNG!Beat that if you can. I give 2 THUMB UP for my Big Boss, lesser thumb for SM and M.

Somehow, i managed to spot a training in the Bulletin board. Without any hesitation, i enrolled it with my Manager's permission. So, this answers to the previous "TBC" in the middle of the post, and also "contunues..." in this post as well. I am back from Performance Management System workshop. I can never admit less that this workshop has taught me a lot of things, how to manage your own performance as well as how to deal with issue regarding to your performance. This make me realized that there's a need for me to raise my concern regarding what i am experiencing now. Being an employee of Petronas, you need to set objectives with your superior. That document is called IPC. Within this document, you are required to list down the objectives you are required to fulfill in order to determine your PPA (appraisal). Under the Target column, you are required to fill in the base target, stretch 2 as well as stretch 1 target. If you can meet the base target, hence, you are just rated-3-employee, which is categorized under "meeting expectations". If you can reach stretch 2 target, you are rated-2-employee, which is "exceeds expectations. IF you think you are superwoman, superman, batman, catwoman, you can always work and strive for rated-1-employee, or what they call HPS (for 3 consecutive years, you obtain rating of 1 or 2). This is what we call "OUTSTANDING". I guess it's quite hard for me right now to aim for anything as stated, because the IPC is not even cascaded to me yet, although i have stepped foot in this department for roughly 2 months now. So, during the workshop, i was taught to raise my concern to my superiors, and if it did not work, then you have to activate your support system (peers, colleagues, mentors, coaches...). These people might be able to help you walk through your path. Besides, we have also learnt DG and KP - Discussion Guidelines and Kep Principles. These are the important ingredients you have to bring in when you are going to attend a discussion with your superior. Make sure you keep an open mind to whatever comments given by your boss. Remember the boss's rule?

RULE #1 : Boss is always Right
RULE #2: IF Boss is Wrong
RULE #3: Refer to RULE #1

Besides that, i was also taught to be S.M.A.R.T, which means

This is very useful especially when stating objectives. Make sure the objective you set is discussed with your boss, and make sure it is achievable by you. At least, the BASE TARGET is achievable and obtainable. Do not tolerate any "near-miss" in your objective setting.

The last thing i learnt was the way in giving comments/ remarks. WHen writing an IPC, always apply the R.I.C.E rule.

By doing so, you can easily trace back whatever achievements you have completed, and also easily justifiable by your superior when he is trying to fight for a rating of 2 for you. Isn't worth writing in the right way makes it easy for you and your boss? SO, don't be so wise-headed, (kepo or ke khiang) write a lengthy essay in IPC, and end up no one reading your novel.

Anyway, always remember the 4 phases in PMS, Performance Planning, Feedback and Coaching, Performance Review and Appraisal, and lastly, Rewards and Consequences. Everything comes with consequences, just that they differ in positive or negative consequences. I vowed to myself, never ever fall into Rating 4 employee (not meeting expectations). I believe with my capabilities, competencies and eagerness to learn, i will excel in the job i will be commiting myself to in the years ahead.

Suddenly the thoughts of P.E appeared in my head today..

Shall i go for that? Or i shall just stick to what i am now, and continue my path to become a competent engineer..hehe..

I feel so Keng Chao today..coz during meeting, i spoke up on behalf of my company...Know wat? I told them what my company told me, and further details, i didn give them..coz i also dunno..and my company also dunno..so, no one knows..i can only tell them

" We will try our best"
" I wasnt so sure, i will go back and check with my boss, see what he says"
bla bla bla la..

And guess wat? The other engineers diam diam saje...let me talk...hurm...at this moment..i felt like i lagi berkaliber...muaahahahaha

If i have handled this project since the beginning..i tink last month already siap testing and commissioning...sucks la the ...erm....employer of mine..haha..

The worst Meeting Ever

HUHU!!!

I have attended so many meetings, and this is the worst...

Why do i call it the worst? Let me briefly tell you how a construction work is being done, and who are involved...

Whenever there's a project coming along, there would be tenders and so forth..
So, got big big big tauke, big big tauke, big tauke, tauke, not so big tauke and etc...

So, since my company has tendered a project, so we are considered as sub-con for our main con, which is one of the tauke above, and if we sub our work to another sub-con, then we become their main-con, and they become the tauke's sub-sub-con..

So, here's the thing..My company cant do the job in time...cant finish the job as scheduled..
Hence, the tauke tauke at the top level came to site, and had an urgent meeting with us.

"So guys, when can you finish T&C (Testing and Commissioning)?"
No one answered

"Can you meet the deadline? How many things left? Supposingly today you guys are doing the T&C as stated in the schedule, why still no progress till now?"
No one answered

"Who is in charge here? Can someone give me an answer???"
No one answered

"Who has the power to give instruction?"
Our immediate boss, and he is in KL

"Call him IN now...i don't care where he is, your company is the most ****** and ****** company i have ever encountered with"

"So now, tell me frankly, what are the outstanding equipments that have not arrived? You better tell me frankly, because we are coming to help you get the job done, since your company, obviously, cant manage this project well, so we have to help you manage. Thus, you better let me know the status, so that we can meet deadline"

Okay, here's the thing..u noticed that none of us answer the questions right? You must be wondering, WHY?

I was taught at the site...
1. Do not simply answer them during the meeting, unless you are damn sure of it
2. Do not simply confirm/ convince them regarding the deadline unless you are damn sure
3. Just listen to them, and don't respond to them. Just treat them as singing or poeting. Do get stress or tensed after being scolded...It's just normal
4. Anything come up, just answer "I will go back and check with my boss, then i will let you know".
5. Do not tell them anything about the status of the job, and do not tell them if the equipments have arrived. Just tell them, ON THE WAY, or IN PROGRESS.
6. Must tahu belok kiri and kanan, cannot LURUS. If you want to get to a point, turn many many rounds, beat around the bush...then let them figure it out themselves..If they say anything, we just say "i didn't say that, it's what you think"
7. If they instruct us to do anything, ask for BLACK and WHITE, and answer this " I will not responsible to any future damage or problems occurred"

Those are the 7 golden rules i was taught by my seniors...Guess i have to really be so so so irresponsible d...coz i cant tell the truth, i cant tell them the situation..This is HARD!!

Anyway, my job is really hard. Do not TRY THIS if you are seeking for a job.

Do dogs tend to enjoy better life than Human?

Speaking of pets, sigh, i have been looking for puppies since years ago, and now i have not bought myself any cute puppy yet...what i have at home are just 2 handsome dogs and 1 pretty pregnant dog. Well, i love dogs so much...that explains why i do play so much with Blackie (Eileen's housemate's puppy)...

My First Day of Work

If you are wondering what kind of job that i am currently engaged in...im an employee of Digistar Holdings. It's a small company, located at Jalan Ampang. The company is really a very small company, with very very very crucial COST SAVING plans...everything must save cost...which includes projects involved..HOWEVER, i can say that the quality of their job is good.

So, what'y my Jobscope?
I have started 5 days of work so far:

1st day: Haven start already went into a 4 hour meeting..i know nothing, but i shook my head nia.First day nia, already OT until 7pm.
2nd day: Meeting again, and it was until 7pm again. My job is to attend meeting, read catalogues, drawings, call engineers on site for updatess.....
3rd day: Meeting again..it was a project department meeting. Very informal indeed, but for me, i just sit at one corner, listening to their updates, and c how they push their responsibilitiies to others..huhu...

4th day: My first day ON SITE in Kuching. My project is Dewan Undangan Negeri, Sarawak. I went into the site..huhu...10 floors...and i have to walk up all the way using staircase nia...I can tell u...DAMN!!IT WAS DAMN TIRING, DIRTY and DUSTY!@#%& Speaking of my first day, it was really unfortunate. My car was parked behind an ISUZU DMAX. And guess wat...he bang my car when he left the site. Sort of like "hit n run". BUT, a lot of witnesses saw he knocked my car, so they told me who who who and wat car hit my car...then..cont the next day. Another thing, i had severe migraine....severe until i vomitted, and i slept the moment i reached home, i din take dinner...until the next morning.

5th Day: (TODAY)..i went to see the guy...sigh..he bo hiu bo hiu nia...still smoking some more..and blow at me...he said afternoon will go over to see how's my car condition. He said he din even know he hit my car...so..see how lo later. Initially, i continued with my job. basically,at this stage, i will only have to wear bulletproof shirt coz i will always get scolded and"diau" by main contractor coz it's nearing to T&C. Yes, he has done quite a massive impact in our life, not only emotionally, but also spiritually. He has brought fun and happiness to all of us. I can always hear his laughter "HA HA HA" whenever i feel bored, lonely and down.

It's my 4th week in penang, and guess wat? I have been to penang for so many times, and i had never ever dare to have the thought of trying out "Dragon-I" restaurant coz i heard it was so "luxurious" to dine there...

Well, still, i still insisted not to dine there, cause it's termed unecessary spending..

Today, me and Eileen wanted to have lunch at QB Mall, coz we had jz bought movie ticket for Love Matters..Out of so many choices, we opt for Canton-I Noodle House...yea..it might sound similar to Hong Kong Noodle House in Kuching, so we went..expecting to have affordable and delicious lunch..

The first thing came into my mind...Wah, these service here so good...so professional..every waiter and waitress has a handsfree on their left ears...ya, left ears only..i dunno y..and the environment...man, its superb...then, i thought..If Hong Kong Noodle House in kuching can be like this, sure the business very LAK KU!

The nightmare started when the menu arrives...Every single dish costs at minimum RM11, and i tell you, the "zha you tiaw" costs RM 3. The plain congee costs RM 4, and what to my astonishment was, Each drink costs at least RM 10!!! Then i took a peek at other tables..i noticed most people ordered Plain Water..hehe..for just RM 1. Plain water for RM 1, free refill!!haha..so, i ordered that too lo...only those tables occupied by old people drink those RM 10 tea.

Well, the last thing i realized was, written in the menu, "Canton-I and Dragon-I are under the same management". Sigh..this is what i called "Unecessary SPendng", especially during this jobless period...i feel so guilty after taken that meal..it costs us RM32 in total (Only 1 plain water, and 2 plates of Roast BBQ Rice). Oh ya, Service Charge + Tax = 5% + 10% = another 15 % more!!
WTF!!

Why UTP is not one of the APEKS family?

Well, for those UTPians who have resided there for more than 3 years, or maybe for those freshies who have reached UTP several months ago and heard stories from their seniors, i believe that they could answer this question easily.

Firstly, UTP is an Islamic UTP. Right or Wrong? For me, i think it is a university of all religions. Not only for Islam, but also for the X and the Palm. Unfortunately, UTP has always have this bunch of unscrupulous people that keep ruin the fucntions, occasions and events which are not organized by them. They can simply claim that the event organized are ruining the "akhlak" of the undergraduates in UTP, and initially bringing them away from Islam. Further and further from Islam. I wonder, how good are those people who claim themself as RM? Are they really that faithful to their religion? Are they the cream of UTP? Or they are just the leftovers, the trash that is produced in UTP. I cant be so sure of this. Nevertheless, i should say that some of those RM are kind people as in being friend. But, from them, i can tell more than 10 things that they have done which does not abide the commandment in their religion. So, now's the question. For those RM who claimed that they are people with "akhlak" and "morale". If you think that these events are gonna ruin the image of the university, and at the same time jeopardizing the future of those undergraduates, what should you care about it? Are they your children? Your sibling? Your parents? If they are, then i have to agree with your action. Else, BACKOFF and shove ur @55 into your own bird brain. Stay away from US.

Aiya..kinda like went too far d. Sorry sorry. As Edwin claimed in his blog, there are so many things which are not good in UTP, as such are like the internet, the parking, the administration so forth. Yet, Edwin is good at covering the bad part by stating a few nice sentences which make UTP in a state of enlightenment. Another update of my life

Well..to update my blog again..im in Penang now..few days back..i was in KL..and a week ago..i was in Kuching..my life has been revolving around KCH-KL-PNG, soon,i will be going back to my "used-to-be second house", UTP. My exam result still erroneous!Wat the F*** right? I called Exam unit several times and still, they said they have updated my result. So, i think its better to go back have a look at it la. Else, dunno til when only they will settle it for me.

Hurm..this few months has been quite boring for me, but i have learnt to cook quite well, in face i have learnt several dishes, namely: pancake(mi hun kuey), fried chicken, french fries, oyster sauce chicken, mi hun with chicken, cabbage with oyster sauce, kailan, rice, porridge, telur dadar, telur separuh masak.

Now, i m going to try for Cheese-Choc Cake while is sold in Secret Recipe. My Bro tried making it with his gf, well, i shud say it was a success though they claimed it failed. I m going to have a try on that soon. Dunno when yet.

Last thurs i finally sent out my resume!!THe first resume to reach the corporate's hand. PETRONAS. haih..maybe i shud go try other companies la hor...

My car battery went dead..gonna buy a new battery d. It costs 145 dude!!Car is sucking me real hard!How i wish i have a job to pump my bank with some backup money. Pray Hard!!Amitabha!

02.02.2009 - 3 years anniversary!!

These 23 years has been fascinating and exciting. I have gone through sadness as well as happiness, but nothing is comparable to the happiness I am showered with right now, and I hope this happiness will last till the earth turns square.

It all started on 02.02.2006. This is the turning point of my life. This is the point where I find my true self. I used to be someone without plans, without responsibilities, without commitment. I tend to spend time on useless things such as sms-ing, talking on phones blab la bla..but ever since 02.02.2006, I have found the goal of my life. I knew what I should be, what I should do, and what I should become.

02.02.2006 is the day I have this girl in my life.

She is Eileen. The one and only love of my life. I love u forever and ever! Well, we never know how our future gonna be, but i can assure you. I want to spend every single minute every single seconds just to be with you. I want to continue my journey with you, facing all the challenges that yet to come, and enjoy the happiness, togetherness that yet to be fulfiled. I love you.

Struggling in poverty, looking for a way out

Recently..i noticed that Edwin and KF are competing in their jobless counter..so..i guess today shoud be jobless counter day number 72. I have been jobless for 72 days. Well, i couldn admit less that it was a meaningful 72 days though. I have spent my time meaningfully with my beloved gf, Eileen and also my parents, which i have not really spent any precious time with them for the past 5 years. You can imagine how long UTP spare us from the academic calendar every semester. Even you can calculate how many days i was in Kuching. So, that explains why i think my 72 jobless day is meaningful.

Being jobless is one thing, being poor is the chain effect from being jobless though. I used to have RM500 allowance from Petronas to spend on foods and groceries..now, i have RM0 every month, and my bank account is always debited with more and more ATM withdrawal transactions. It's so sad to see the amount getting less and less by weeks. Who to blame? Me, myself, i, zhiahowe. I have always claimed myself as jobless, while i myself had never tried to apply for any jobs available in the market, or even part time job. My resume has been kept untouched in my pc in Penang although i have completed writing it months ago..Who to blame again? ME!

I have always hoped that money do grow on trees, coz i have a lot of trees around my house. How i wish i could plant a money plant, so that i can spend happily by just watering it everyday. How i wish. I have though of the Skim Cepat Kaya too...but its too risky.

So, i started to take the slow path by earning cent by cent from Vincent Dee. He taught me to CLICK all the way to earn some pocket money. So far, i have started for roughly a month, and i can c the money starts growing from cents to tens of cent. Hopefully, i will be investing more money into this thing and gain a higher return value next month. Kudos to Dee for teaching me how to spend my free time at home moneyliciously.

Just few days ago, i encountered a site, teaching ppl how to make use of their money. AND, coincidently, i have a friend is in this kinda business. This thing is what i show in my MSN and GTALK status message

" Start Saving RM100 a month, and every 2 years, you get RM900".

RM900 might be a small amount for us, cause you only get RM900 in two years time, which means, you earn RM37.5 per month. BUT, let's look at the amount u invest every month, for each RM100, you get back RM37.50. 37.5% of interest. It seems make sense to me, cause according to him, if you put ur money in Bank in the FD, you get 3-4% interest at most. AND, its better you keep your money in FD for a year untouched. So, i guess that's the good thing of FD. You can take out your money after 1 year. This plan encourages us to take out after a decade, so that we can have even higher return. Maybe it's more like a retirement plan for me. Yet, i still give it a try. RM100 a month is still within my capability. Oh ya, not to mention, we can invest any amount we want too!!If you start with RM200, you get RM1800 after 2 years. HAHA!!i bo lui..so start small small.

Today is 22.01.2009, yesterday was Sin Nyan's bday, and today is my Big Day. Eileen is coming back from Penang. Cant wait. BUT.Bad News IS, Spotty was sent away to my dad's groundsmen house for several weeks, as it is mating season now, and my two horny male dogs have been fighting whole day and night over her. Sigh..gonna miss pot pot ever since..

Life After Graduation, Before Employment

Unexpectedly..i hv graduated from my EnE Engineering Degree Program in UTP..so what? You might think another new phase of life is gonna begin..
Yes, indeed..it has started..and it all started with some trips around West Malaysia...around Penang..Ipoh...KL...Melaka...and now back in Kuching. What's the new phase here?
The answer is..im moving backwards...i have not progressed a bit in my life...sad to say that..im still unemployed..jobless...hopeless..and according to Josey and May Hua, i am useless...Life without aims is so boring..
Recently..u might hv seen in the press or media...SARAWAK is flooded..and it has been one of the most critical flood of all time..Sarawak contains Kuching...Kuching contains my housing area..the town..serian..batu kawah...and these are the places that are affected by flood..
Me, who have stayed in this house for more than 14 years...which means 14 years without renovation...was severely affected by the flood...in the living room..the water reached my waist level..and in the kitchen...it reached my thigh level..IF YOU ARE WONDERING IF I HAVE SURVIVED THE FLOOD...HELL YEAH!!!I AM SURVIVING WELL AND EAT WELL..!
Back to my life after graduation...Petronas has called up and requested me to show up in KLCC the next day...he called on Monday late evening..and the interview was on Wednesday morning..this was kinda too short notice for someone like me, who doesnt own a plane or have the power of a JUMPER or SUPERMAN..sadly, confusely, reluctantly, i rejected the interview and requested them to arrange the interview, either in Kuching or in KLCC at later date. To no avail...until now i have not received any phone call from them..so, i guess i will have to call them up to ask for an interview..
Speaking of Petronas, i have only realized that they are actually a very good company, with plenty of benefits and privilleges...well..u might want to find out yourself if u r interested in joining their workforce.. :O
Jenny has helped me to take the job application form from her dad..thank you JEN!#% Sorry to say that, i have not submitted the application form to SESCO yet...paiseh ya..no time..coz bz cleaning the house and rearranging the furnitures...Enjoyed the movie session v u n ur sis though :)

Pearl of the Orient
Malaysia’s ‘Pearl of the Orient’ carries a natural beauty and cultural splendour like no other place. Its name comes from the Malay translation of betel nut – ‘Pinang’. Every year, thousands of visitors come here to experience the unique cultural heritage and scenery. It is also a very cosmopolitan city, perhaps the second busiest in the country after Kuala Lumpur.

Island City
Penang consists of a 285 sq. km island connected via a 13 km bridge to an additional 760 sq. km of mainland, referred to as Seberang Perai. Commercial and administrative activity is concentrated in the capital of Georgetown, located on the northeast tip of the island. Temples and other historical sites are scattered in many places and the northern areas hides some picturesque beaches

Hokkien Heritage
While the population is multi-racial, the culture here seems to have adopted a permanent a Chinese tinge. It is not unusual to find Malays and Indians being able to speak the Hokkien language alongside the largely Chinese population (65 percent) of Penang. Eating out is a very popular past time and Penang’s hawker stalls are legendary among Malaysians for their excellent food and lively atmosphere.

Francis Light
Penang’s history was official recorded when the Sultan of Kedah ceded the state (then under his control) to Francis Light of the British East India Company in 1786. In exchange, the Sultan was promised British military protection from the Siamese by the crafty Light who had, in fact, no such backing.
When the Siamese invaded, there was no help rendered to the Sultan. He attempted to retake Penang back in 1790. The attack was unsuccessful and Penang continued to remain under British control with an additional strip of mainland added in 1800. The Sultan was paid 10,000 Spanish Dollars per annum in return.
Through the decades, Penang flourished as a centre for trade of tea, spices, china and cloth. It remained under British rule until it became part of Malaysia in 1957 during Independence Day.

The Modern Penang
Today, Penang is fast, furious and alive with culture and people. Though the number of visitors may have lessened since its duty-free status was taken over by Langkawi, the island state is currently undergoing a revival among visitors through tourism efforts by its people and the Government to return it to its glory days.

Georgetown
The city of Georgetown is Penang’s capital city and the place to go to in search of historical sights and shopping adventures. Many cultural temples line the streets while certain areas are famous for their sale of antiques, artefacts, electronic goods, souvenirs and other commodities. The city area is well-connected through a link of roads, though some are one-way and narrow. Busy and fast-paced, Georgetown is a city that never sleeps, just like Kuala Lumpur.

Gurney Drive
The Gurney Drive is a fantastic place to catch a view of the sunset – and eat at hawkers stalls. Most of Penang’s glorious food can be ordered from the hawker stalls in the area, from Assam Laksa to Popiah and Char Keow Teow to Hokkien Mee. Many families also come here to picnic on weekends and during the night, a bazzar selling all types of goods comes alive in Gurney Drive.

City Hall
The City Hall located along the Esplanade is a fine building of Victorian architecture built in 1903; a reminder of the colonial era in Penang. The City Hall faces a historic field – Padang Kota which is a venue for festivals and other large-scale events. Today, the Hall is still used for period meetings among the Penang Municipal Council Chamber.

Clock Tower
The Clock Tower is a colonial reminder from the era of the British Empire in Penang. Built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, the Clock Tower was a gift to the British authorities from a local millionaire, Cheah Chen Eok. Moorish stylings dominate the structure and from afar, it resembles the minaret of a mosque.

Penang State Museum
The Penang Museum was built in 1965 and houses a collection of priceless artefacts and state treasures. Eight of the ten original oil paintings by the famous artist Captain Robert Smith are found here. Other items on display include porcelain, furniture, jewellery and costumes from past historical eras. There are also maps, charts and memorabilia used by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Fort Cornwallis
Cornwallis was an ancient fort built by Francis Light, the founder of Penang, on the spot where he landed in 1786. It was originally built as a wooden stockade by convicts, receiving concrete upgrades through time. Today, the fort has been converted into an open-air park complete with amphitheatre, a history gallery, cafes, and souvenir shops. There are also a few cannons sitting around, the most famous being Seri Rambai, reputedly having mystical powers.

Penang War Museum
The War Museum situated on Batu Maung Hill traces the history of World War II in Malaysia. Located on a sprawling 20-acre piece of land, visitors will be taken on a journey through a soldier’s perspective as he narrates the dangers and challenges of war. There are canons, armaments, survival kits used by soldiers on display as well as underground installations such as pillboxes, tunnels and ventilations shafts. Visitors will be enlightened by the many war relics exhibited and hopefully, come out with a better understanding of the nature of global conflict.

Upper Penang Road
This northern portion of this historical road is now a brand new entertainment circle, akin to Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur. Upmarket restaurants, karaoke joints, bars, discotheques, pubs, and vogue boutique shops have sprouted over the precinct, offering visitors a wild night out in Penang. Most are housed in heritage buildings restored to provide a funky edge to Penang’s entertainment scene.

Hainanese Mariners' Lodge/ Penang Heritage Trust
The building was formerly used by itinerant Hainanese mariners for accommodation but was converted in 1998 to set up the Penang Heritage Trust, a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving Penang’s unique Chinese culture. The centre offers visitors information on Penang’s heritage sites, organises projects, tours and provides accommodation. Nearby are some Chinese workshops that include a traditional carpenter, a goldsmith’s guild and a Cantonese association, all open for visits.

Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion
The house was built and named after a Hakka migrant in 1890. He was born a penniless person but eventually became the most powerful overseas Chinese merchant of his time in Nanyang. Moving to Penang, he continued to build his empire of shipping, opium and mining in Southeast Asia. The house is a magnificent architectural marvel with distinct European styling and stained-glass windows. Today, the house is open for visitors to learn more about Cheong’s history through antiques and paraphernalia displayed in the building.

Kapitan Keling Mosque
The largest and oldest mosque in Penang was built in 1801 and further redesigned in 1910 by a German architect – Henry Alfred Neubronner, who gave the mosque its British Raj Moghul revival appearance and an elegant minaret. It is named after an Indian Muslim merchant – the ‘Kapitan Keling’ (headman) Caudeer Mohudeen.

Penang Toy Museum
The Toy Museum is Penang’s latest attraction with over 100,000 toys, dolls, models and other collectibles. Started by an avid collector of toys, the museum is also said to be the largest of its kind in Asia with many different chambers showcasing toys from different genres such as anime, Hong Kong movie stars, horror, science fiction and fantasy.

Dr Sun Yat Sen's Penang Base
A simple shop lot became the base from 1909 – 1911 for the revolutionary Chinese leader Dr Sun Yat Sen’s efforts to modernise China and turn it into a republic. Penang supported Dr Sun’s efforts and raised funds for the uprising in China during that historical period. The shop lot is open for visitors wishing to learn more about the historical leader and his activities in Penang.

Mahamariamman Temple
This is the oldest Hindu temple in Penang dating all the way back to 1833 and is adorned with many sculptures. Nearby is Little Indian, a collection of shopping areas that brim with Indian culture and noise.

Kek Lok Si Temple
The Kek Lok Si is a finely-crafted Buddhist temple, located on a hill in Ayer Hitam. Inside, visitors can stroll in the gardens, visit a turtle pond and admire shrines and other sculptures of Buddhist origin. Visitors should also try the delicious Asam Laksa dishes which are sold in stalls near the temple.

Wat Chayamangkalaram
Yet another Buddhist temple, the Wat houses a reclining Buddha statue that is the third largest of its kind in the world - 33 meters in length. St George's Church

All furnishings have been carefully preserved to maintain the house as it originally was when it was used by P. Ramlee.

People nowadays, are very sensitive towards their surrounding. They could turn their back towards their close ones, or even their family for their so-called " pride and dignity".

How many of us prefer to be-friended our ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend? How many of us prefer to be-friended our enemy? How many of us prefer to be-friended with someone who betrayed us?

These are the most common cases in today's world. Let me start off with the most common scenario....

Ex-Boyfriend VS Ex-Girlfriend

A pair of bird-loving angels have broken up due to some god-knows reasons .....

the guy has an affair with others, the girl has no attention...
the guy has no freedom, the girl has no sweet talks...
the guy has no money, the girl has no clothes...
the guy broke his promise, the girl was abandoned...
the guy lied, the girl flirted...
the guy broke up, the girl pissed out...
the girl broke up, the guy cheer up...

I used to know a couple who used to be very loving, and used to promise each other that they will give whatever it takes just to maintain their relationship. After time passed by, they realised each other are not suitable for each other, so broke up. Guess what? Both do not talk to each other for years, and treat each other as enemy. Why? the guy blamed the girl to be so boring, not wiling to give in, flirts....the girl blamed the guy to be so NO LIFE, no surprises, stingy, nvr dare to disclose their relationship and stuffs...
Yes, girls like their guy to ANNOUNCE their relationship, and if the guy prefer to be low-profiled, girls usually feel uncontented, and there must be something to hide behind all these...

Back to the topic...since both agreed to go different ways, why cant they just be friend back? Forget the past, and go on!!

There was another friend of mine, she was left by his BF after few years of relationship. The guy provided her with cash, pleasures and also loves. But, that lasted for only few years. After living in her wonderland, she then noticed the guy actually kept another GF without her knowledge...Yes, i agree the guy was wrong, and so what? We have our rights to choose whom to be with.. and how we want it to be... The only mistake the guy did was, he did not tell her frankly how he felt...
Of course, we will surely expect them to be the WORST-EVER-ENEMY ever lived on this earth!! It turned out that they are good friend now, and she mixes well with his current GF as well..this is what we call Sporting? Stupid? Open-Minded? Mature? Responsible? i will let you to decide...
there are still a lot of stories behind, but i m not sure of it though...

Enemy VS Enemy

Some people are born with enemies around them.. not excluding myself for sure. Well, in case you do not understand the meaning of Enemy, open up Google, go to some dictionary website, and check it for yourself. We will have the kind of feeling to revenge, having high level of Testosteron of putting the opposite to Hell...

In my humble thoughts, i seriously think that Enemy could be friend anymore, i mean, maybe can be friend, but not close/ good friend after all of those past...right?

However, i would prefer to reduce the number of enemy and increase the number of friends...don't we? What's the point of having enemies while it will only make you suffer? You have to spend time to avoid him, spend time to curse/scold him, spend your energy to reflect towards his provocation?

Can you imagine how nice could it be if, for once, you could think of how good he is, and how nice if he is your friend? Just lay low, and say HI..or maybe How are you? or..Shall we have a drink??(not to fight or smth)...well..just to let those people who hates me...let bygone be bygone, and let's be friend again..alright?

Trushful VS Betrayers

Haha..this is the worst case..i hate this the most...i cant forgive someone who betrayed me...yea...no matter what he do..i wont forgive him...How could you betray your own friend?
Most people find it hard to forgive someone who had turned his back against them. I strongly agree, because sometimes i find it hard either to forgive a friends who have back-stabbed you...
I do not have any comment on this though..but, if it happens to me, i will try my best to let it go..saying is easy, but action takes a lot of courage and determination..i believe i am categorized in the strong and consistent group of people. :)

No matter how much someone who had hurt you, or someone you hurt, just try our best to live our life to the fullest...never let the past drags you, we should maintain our pace, living happily with what we have now.

When we dislike bush, there are NO BUSH GIRLS
WHen we dislike enemies, there are NO ENEMIES WORLD

I went to Momo and Glo last nite..and i seriously think that penang ppl are more friendly than those in KL and Kuching..why do i say so? Because, in Penang pubs, we can look at them , and they smile back..HOWEVER, in KL pubs and KCH pubs..if u look at them, they will straight away call one gang of ppl and ask u "what u wan??!@#$%^" ...well..maybe that's for me specifically only..coz my face looks like "quan da" (patut dipukul).. well..there was a guy still "cheers" with me coz he accidentally hit me frm behind, and said sorry too...wow!!i felt so good..coz i dn feel scared being inside Momo..mana tau anytime ppl start a fight and u kena belasah??haha...well..I wish i can go to MOMO more often..very fun!!i like da music and the environment...suits me well..

Ever since i moved to Penang, i get to knw a few frens...when i was swimming and also working out at the gym...today, i got to knw a businessman named Ah Ket..he is doing water dispenser business..we talked and we swam in the pool..Penang has a lot of friendly and nice ppl..

I got to know a cook named Vincent too..he brought me around Penang and enjoy the foods here..He is another example of a good Penangities..

Rui Xing is another guy i got to knw when i was at the gym..he is kinda nice to me as well..he brught me to massage my leg ..and he helped me a lot when i needa help in Penang..another nice guy here..

BUT..how come still no girls le??erm..maybe i shud say..Penang girls are more preserved? or..they are too cool? or..they are ermm...conservative? who knws..i have to get more opinions and views from penang ppl then..
